The Pensione Lungomare has old-world charm and is located in a quiet side street, close to the historical center and only a few steps from the Rhine. The apartment is cozy and simply furnished. It is ideal for longer stays, especially for couples, small groups, families and visitors to the fair. We are registered with the Basel Tourist Board.

The apartment measures about 70m2 and consists of two bedrooms (two double beds, a single bed and a sofa bed with space for up to 6 guests, baby bed available), a living/dining room, a fully stocked kitchen and a covered terrace. It is located in the ground-floor and has hard-wood floors. The private bathroom is in the staircase just outside the apartment and the shower is in the kitchen. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.

You have access to a shared rooftop terrace.

Included in the price are the following: Basel Card for the duration of your stay giving you free unlimited public transportation including on day of arrival from airport or trainstation, as well as 50 % off on museums, zoo and theater basel ticket^. In addition linen, towels, wireless internet, bicycles, a laundry machine with detergent.

In the kitchen you will find dishes, cooking utensils, espresso maker, ice box, gas stove and the most important basics (coffee, tea, olive oil, sugar, salt etc).

If you don't want to make your own breakfast, there are many cozy cafés in the neighborhood, for example Cafe Frühling just around the corner, offering serious coffee in a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast is served all day.

Why can't I call Julian (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Julian (the owner) a message.

If Julian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
