From the owner

The property is approached by a private track from the pretty village of Montpollin. Documents for the Moulin date from 1432 but the present building dates from C19th and is solidly constructed of tuffeau and brick under a slate roof. With high ceilings and big windows the house is full of light. The thick walls and carrelage floors throughout keep it cool in the hottest weather.

All the principal rooms open on to a wide gravel terrace which is separated from the lake by a low retaining wall. The heart of the house is the 50 square metre salon with its handsome (working) fireplace and wonderful old furniture giving it more the feel of a family home than a rental house.

The spacious and well equipped kitchen leads off the dining end of the salon. It too is large and light and has a table for informal eating and a door leading on to the terrace, close to the pond. Children must be over 6 years and able to Swim. The pool is 300 mètres from the Moulin. It is shared only with the owners.

A palatial double bedroom leads off the sitting end of the salon.

An attractive staircase rises from the salon to a wide mezzanine, furnished as an additional sitting room from which lead off 3 further large bedrooms, 1 small double, 1 large double and 1 "dormitory", currently furnished with 4 single beds to accommodate young stayovers. There is a bathroom with bath and shower over and a separate toilet.

The Moulin has capacity for more beds than are offered but as there is, as yet, only 1 bathroom, it is thought better to restrict it to 6 or possibly 7. Because of the lake, children must be over 6 years and able to swim.

The terrace offers a handsome teak table (with sun parasol) and chairs and a BBQ.

Local tax not included on price and should be paid directly upon arrival:
