“Really comfortable and well equipped home from home.”

Our third visit to Beadnell but the first with my elderly parents, in-laws, my disabled sister and our two dogs!! This house worked really well for us with the two lounge areas, a dining table big enough to accommodate us all plus three friends who popped by for Sunday lunch. Caroline answered my questions quickly regarding the arrangement of the stairs so I could ensure my sister could get upstairs. Very comfortable beds. Sadly the spa bath was leaking so we were reduced to the two bathrooms but with planning it worked out fine. (The plumber came during our stay so should be sorted shortly). Plenty of crockery and cutlery and large size cooking pots provided. The utility room with its own door is helpful for letting the dogs in when they are wet and sandy, so you can clean them before allowing them back into the house. Great central heating (it was chilly during our stay) but loads of garden furniture for when the weather is better. Games equipment in the garage is a great feature too. The Ocean Leisure centre membership is great as we went for a swim on a particularly cold day. Their cafe is fabulous and you can take dogs in too. We visited Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle during our stay.

Response from the owner Hi Lynsry, Thank you for taking the time to write a great review, so pleased you enjoyed your stay, you will be pleased to hear the bathroom is fixed so hopefully if you return there won't be any problems. Look forward to welcoming you and your family again in the future.. Best wishes Caroline

“Port Perry”

Fab house loads of bedrooms and bathrooms. Beds not overly comfortable but ok. Facilities good. Only criticism was the glassware and kitchen items were poor. Takes very little investment to make a place look like home from home and think about what a large family may require to cook and drink from etc... implements were cheap I'm afraid. Great location would highly recommend. I just think a wee bit more thought wouldn't have gone a miss for the price paid. Thanks though x

Response from the owner Hi Tina, Thanks for taking the time to write a review and I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately accidents do happen and glasses do get broken especially over the summer where there are multiple families staying in the house together, we regularly replace them along with everything else in the house. Best wishes Caroline

“Super house, super location”

Had a wonderful week at Port Perry, family travelled up from Devon, lovely comfortable house, with plenty of space for us all to spread out, (10 members of family) house well equipped with everything we needed as is garden.Shame about the weather but didn't keep us in

Response from the owner Thanks so much for leaving a review and I'm really pleased you enjoyed your stay, unfortunately we can't guarantee good weather but try to provide everything else! Hopefully if you come back next year you will be lucky and have sunshine. Best wishes Caroline

“Fantastic house, great location”

We had a brilliant family weekend away celebrating our Dad's special birthday. The house is brilliant with plenty of room, we never once felt squashed (4 kids, 6 adults). It was home from home & in a great location. Would highly recommend sand sledging on beadnell bay & craster arms for fab food. We all had a fantastic time & wish we could've stayed longer. Will definitely be returning.

Response from the owner Thanks for taking the time to write a lovely review, so pleased you all enjoyed your stay. The dunes in Beadnell are perfect for sledging and you're never too old to enjoy it! I look forward to welcoming you all back again soon, best wishes Caroline

“Great house”

Port Perry is a great big house that was ideal for our family of 11. There was lots of room for 5 energetic boys to let off steam - both inise and out. The games in the garage were also a bonus. Thanks for making our stay a brilliant one.

Response from the owner Thank you Denise for taking the time to write a review, pleased you and your family enjoyed your stay, best wishes Caroline

This as a great house for an extended family holiday. We were near enough to the beach for a stroll down with the dog . Our party varied in age from young toddler to grandparents and the house provided ample space for all. The 2 lounges were a bonus as it meant we had a playroom for the younger ones.

Response from the owner Port Perry is perfect for extended family holidays, there is plenty of space for you to be together equally as important space to be apart! Hope you will come visit again, best wishes Caroline

“Perfect for 2 families to share”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2013

3rd time at this house, and have already booked for 2014. Close to the beach, enclosed garden, and two lounges! My only suggestion to improve would be to make one of the double rooms a twin room, so giving more flexibilty.

Response from the owner Thanks for the great review and look forward to welcoming you back again next summer. Best wishes Caroline

Stayed at this lovely spacious property during school Easter holidays with extended family age ranged from 87 to 14 and a dog.The property was very well appointed, the layout was excellent and the smaller sitting room was just ideal for Gran when she needed that bit of peace and quiet!!! The fully enclosed garden was great for sitting out in the sunshine (we did get some) and safe for our dog.Port Perry is close to a beautiful beach that was great for morning runs with the dog. We all enjoyed the pool table and air hockey competitions we had in the games room/garage but the teenage lads did so particularly. Lovely walks along the beach and dunes into Low Newton with great crab sandwiches and coffee at the Ship Inn. Also good food at the Joiners Arms in High Newton. All the family wanted to live forever in this lovely property Caroline(owner) was very friendly and helpful ....we will be going back!!!!!

Response from the owner Thank you for the fantastic feedback, I am glad that you had a great week (and some sunshine!) look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
