Just to mention the owner Susan Valentine found African Silhouette as a dream that came true, it is a Lifestyle where she lives every moment to make other's dreams come true - even for just providing a SAFE, place to overnight. - A guesthouse with a difference - imagine to sleep in a place that was an empty piece of ground, a seed like a dream that was planted and grew into a guesthouse, (with lots of hard work and planning with the travelers needs oozing out into preparing comfort) where creativity, art, texture of material such as bark, wood, tree trunk, outside showers symbolizes her heartfelt desire to bring people back to Nature and Nature into all occasions. After all - it is in Nature, where we find inspiration, peace, little miracles where birds, flowers & the indigenous trees tell it stories of hope, faith, and love.

The Rooms are all with a private entrance, a secret garden with its outside shower & garden to boast the wonderful African Sky, starry night showers & to sing without raising the roof. Indoors the rooms have a corner bath, hand basin, toilet hidden behind a big beautiful tree trunk. The luxury of DSTV is available. "The Boma" - Guests Outdoor Cooking Experience starts HERE. The ambiance is amazing and grows into a relaxing visit around a roaring campfire for groups who are in transit. It was a Missionary Group who thoroughly enjoyed themselves, guitars, singing, praying on the next day into Africa - they were a JOYFUL bunch of guests. Yearly we also host from the Netherlands a group who does Industrial Tours ending the journey at African Silhouette. BOOK IN ADVANCE

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Susan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
