Description

We are in a quiet residential neighborhood, so family groups or quieter groups of couples are welcome, with quiet hours at 11 during the week, and 12 on the weekend.

With the beautiful and private walk-down frontage on 600-acre Lake Chapin, You will love your time here with a large extended family or several couples. Our home is not fancy, but it is built for enjoyment, while offering many areas for different activities.

The family room has a flat-screen smart TV. The living room shares a flat-screen TV with the dining area, which has an oval table with six chairs. The kitchen is completely outfitted with pans, dishes, tools and spices.

There are four bedrooms with 3 queen, 2 double, 2 single and a bunk.

There is a large patio area with ample seating on wicker and other chairs, a bench, a swing, and a hammock. You can go out in the canoe, kayaks, paddleboards or rowboat, of fish from the dock. We have now added a hot tub, which is available for our guests.

Well-behaved pets are welcome, with prior notice and a $50 cleaning fee.

Getting around

It is maybe a mile into town, where you will find groceries, hardware, pizza, Chinese food, etc. wineries and micro-breweries are plentiful, many within 20-30 minutes.

Interaction with guest

I generally meet guests when they come. If I cannot, there is a lock box with keys. Contact me about arrival time. If there is not someone leaving right before you come, I prefer to meet you earlier, mid-day, if possible.

House rules

We expect responsible family groups, including children. We are in a quiet, residential neighborhood, and do not want wild party groups. Noise outside must be minimal at night. This house is perfect for those wanting water sports, including fishing, swimming, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, or just looking at the ever-changing lake view.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Patrick (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
