“Excellent stay”

Reviewed 9 Jun 2019

The Old Dairy is very comfortable and well-equipped; dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, fridge-freezer, radio/CD player and large TV in living room area. Two of the bedrooms upstairs gave small TVs. Three bedrooms are en-suite and there is a downstairs bathroom seperate to the downstairs bedroom. The owners, Trevor and Val, are very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the scones, jam and clotted cream on arrival. We had three vehicles between us and there was ample parking space. We had two dogs with us (a Corgi and a Great Dane!) and there was a large lawned area for them to explore. The village of Berrynarbor is very pretty but most roads are VERY steep so you get to exercise those calf muscles! The accomodation is set on the edge of the village and is very peaceful, though you can hear the cows twice a day when they are milked at the next-door farm. The Old Dairy is about four miles from Ilfracombe along a windy single-track road. Lynton and Lynmouth are worth a visit. Great craft centre in Lynton and you can ride the water-powered vertical railway down to Lynmouth (£3.50 return, dogs £1.50). Bideford is a quaint little town with independant shops. Barnstable has a good Collector's Market. Some near-by beaches have restricted times / areas for dogs. Can recommend The Olde Globe in Berrynarbour for good food and hosts. We thooughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend the accomodation at The Old Dairy.

“Spacious, family and pet friendly cottage in a fantastic location”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2017

This is a very spacious family and pet friendly cottage. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Fantastic location for exploring the North Devon coast. The owners are very friendly. So much to see and do in this area. The cream tea on arrival was delicious. We will visit again.

Response from the owner So pleased you enjoyed your stay, we would love to have you back.

“Fantastic conversion”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2011

The Old Dairy barn is a wonderful conversion, comfortable and very well equipped. The owners are next door, and are most helpful and attentive. It is located in a wonderful country setting, shops and places to eat are within easy access, several golf courses in the area, and many things to make your holiday memorable within a short drive, also some very interesting and picturesque walks. I, and all my family had a great time in a very good, well appointed and comfortable accommodation, and would recommend it to anyone. Dennis Leask
