The cottages are securely tucked away on our family farm but mercifully out of earshot, offering a perfect holiday retreat! You can sit outside on the patio, relax and contemplate the rolling countryside all the way to the Cheviot Hills or rustle up a meal on the outdoor B.B.Q. - the choice is yours!

Children can safely view the livestock - cattle, sheep, llamas, hens and horses! Little boys will dream of driving massive tractors and machinery and becoming farmers. But why limit the dream to little boys? Little girls will be equally fascinated.

General Information.

1. Bed linen is supplied in every cottage and consists of a duvet and two pillows per person.

2. Towels are provided for each person booked and consists of one bath and one hand towel per person.

3. Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels.

4. Hairdryers are provided in each cottage. En-suite bedrooms have their own hairdryers.

5. Tea Towels, dishcloths and cleaning agents are provided along with a starter pack of toilet rolls and echo dishwasher tablets.

6. Cot, Highchair and child safety gates are available on request.

7. LCD Televisions are provided along with DVD and Video players, CD radio cassette players. Each house has a supply of books and videos and DVD's for your stay.

8. Open Fires are available all year with an electric alternative for the summer.

9. Garden furniture and barbecues are provided at all cottages.

10. Children play area.

11. Electric/ oil heating - The fuel is provided for the coal fire and every house has a fuel allocation, for The Garden House this is £35.00 per week booked. We consider this a fair way of pricing - you the customer, are getting the best price possible and not subsiding other weeks.

The Garden House is a spacious wing of a Manor house built in the Georgian style and has achieved English Tourist Board 5 Star Gold rating. It enjoys panoramic views of the rolling hills and acres of beautiful countryside. This house provides comfort and elegance of a very high standard at a very reasonable price.

The Garden House is entered through double doors into a central hallway. From here access is to the dining room and kitchen and utility room. There is one ground floor twin bedroom with luxury pocket sprung mattresses with a zip link to create a super-king size if required, LED Television. This room has an en-suite wet room with a powerful shower and additional electric shower.

The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard with solid maple units, granite worktops and all integrated appliances such as dishwasher, microwave and full sized oven and hob. The dining room has an open fireplace, additional flat screen television and a large bay window with double doors leading to the terrace with barbeque and quality garden table and chairs

On the first floor there are two bedrooms;- one with a cream painted French double bed with the same quality mattress , LED Television and en-suite with slipper bath; the second has the choice of twin or zip link super-king size double, LED Television and has an en-suite bathroom with Mira Rain shower over bath.

The living room with open fire is on the first floor to take advantage of the breathtaking views from the
bay window with LCD TV & Video/ DVD. Wi-Fi available (own lap-top required, please remember that the speed may be slow than you are used to as we are in the country).
The property is heated with oil-fired central heating and open fire.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
