At the end of the vineyard, behind the Provençal sun gate lies our comfortable villa built in typical Provençal style, with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, and located on a magnificent terraced 6,000 square metre property featuring Mediterranean essences, stone walls and olive and fig trees. The property overlooks an AOC vineyard and the Massif des Maures mountains, is entirely fenced and gated with gardens, has a barbecue area and parking for 6 cars. Down a few steps from the large terrace is the private swimming pool with its stone tile decking and seating area, solar shower, and a retractable 'Skydome' cover you can swim under when the weather isn't perfect. The villa is completely private without being isolated.
Enter the villa from the stone walkway near the covered parking area or from the large west facing terrace. The tastefully furnished and spacious open concept living-dining area has a beamed cathedral ceiling with sliding glass walls that open to allow full indoor-outdoor living. There are large modern sofas and Louis XV chairs, a 32” Flat screen TV and a DVD/CD player to enhance your listening and viewing pleasure. There is also a Godin wood-burning fireplace for the cooler months. The dining room has a large dining table, 8 chairs and a sideboard.
The large bright sunny kitchen faces west and is fully equipped for cooking with a Bosch gas cooktop and oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffeemaker and bar where you can have your morning coffee or a glass of rosé while you look out over the pool and vineyard.
There is a 2 piece powder room off the main entrance hall. The Master bedroom features a new 160 cm. Queen bed, night stand and lamp, built in cupboards and a triple closet. The ensuite 3-piece bath has a sink and vanity, walk in shower with ceramic tile and toilet.
The rest of the bedrooms are located in separate sleeping quarters on the main floor: there are two bedrooms with new 160 cm. Queen Beds, chair or bench, nightstands, lamps and triple closet or armoire. The fourth bedroom has two new single beds, chair, nightstands, lamps and closet. There is a full 6 piece bathroom all in ceramic tile.
Outside and down a few steps is a separate laundry room with washer-dryer, iron and ironing board. There is a solar shower beside the pool.
There is a landline phone that allows free long distance calling within France and to landlines in Europe and North America, as well as high-speed wireless internet throughout the villa.
New high quality linens and bath towels as well as beach towels are provided.
Outdoor furnishings include a dining table and chairs for 8 on the covered terrace, an outdoor living area with sofa, chairs and ottomans, 8 sun lounge chairs, two fully articulated sun umbrellas and a ping pong table. There is another smaller dining table and chairs near the barbecue, and a sitting area under the trees near the ping pong table.
Nearby: Less than 2 km from the property is the village of Besse-sur-Issole in the heart of Var wine country with its medieval architecture, nine spring water fountains, a lake in its centre and its signature vineyards. Here you will find all basic services: bakery, grocer, butcher shop, gourmet restaurants, cafés, pizzerias, pharmacy, hairdresser and a small weekly farmer's market. You can even see a recent movie in the 18th century town hall. You can also sample cuisine from Alain Ducasse, one of France's top chefs, at l'Hostellerie de l'Abbaye de la Celle. In less than 10 minutes by car you can visit no fewer than 12 different towns and villages, each with its own history, character and vineyards to explore. Bikes can also be arranged. There are hiking trails, including to the St Quinis chapel at an altitude of 600 metres and built in the XVIth century, horseback riding, fishing, the tourist train and a large number of “cru classé” vineyards to visit nearby. For those who love golf, the Barbaroux Golf Course, one of the most prestigious in France, is 15 minutes away.
The sand beaches of La Londe des Maures and le Lavandou are 30 minutes by car. And don't miss the restaurants and shopping in Hyères-les-Palmiers, the town that introduced the French Riviera to the world.
