This spacious former croft house has been modernised and refurbished to a high standard and offers you a wonderful holiday home set in a small crofting are of Bettyhill, on the Invernaver Nature Reserve. This charming traditional detached house offers you an ideal location to relax at or a base to tour this most attractive area of North Sutherland.

Entering the house you walk into a sun porch with exposed stone walls which has lovely views over the garden, surrounding hills and estury. The comfortable seating allows you to make the most of this room . Walk through into the open plan ground floor; to the right is the kitchen, dining and additional sitting area which has exposed beams, wood burning stove and belfast sink finished with local Caithness flag stone. To the left is the lounge with comfortable seating, open fire, small library and television and DVD player.

The house has oil central heating. The stairs lead up from the lounge to the first floor, here the landing area contains a small DVD library and linen storage area, linen is included with this property. The bathroom contains a bath with independent shower above it. There is one spacious double bedroom and a further double bedroom with additional single bed.

This sleeping arrangements allow two people to share a room, that might not want to share a bed. It is a good set up for families that visit.

The cottage has a stair, open from the sitting room area. It is a fairly ‘steep’ Croft house stair. However a stair gate can be fitted but only from 3 steps up. Pets are allowed but if more than one pet please arrange with myself. The garden is fully enclosed, Alix.

Why can't I call Alix (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alix (the owner) a message.

If Alix (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
