From the owner

A unique, 2 bedroom farmhouse built in 1762 located in a courtyard hamlet surrounded by hills and fields. Guests also enjoy the exclusive use of a large private garden and summerhouse. The property is ideally located with market towns of Ruthin, Corwen, Bala and Llangollen within easy reach. Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales coastline are also close by. Alternatively, stay closer to home and enjoy the many walks from the house into the surrounding countryside, relax in the garden and summerhouse, have a barbeque then snuggle up in front of a roaring fire or stay out to see the stars. The property offers a large, romantic master bedroom with super king size bed, a twin room with two single beds and a well appointed shower room upstairs. Downstairs there is a well equipped kitchen opening into a spacious dining room and a good sized lounge with sofas and a huge, open, inglenook fireplace. There is also a log burner in the dining room for cosy or romantic meals.

A tethered 7kW EV charger is also available for your use. A separate payment will be required for electricity used for this at slightly above our cost. We currently charge 42p per kWH but this is subject to change.

Please note, due to the age of the property, some floor surfaces are uneven. This may cause difficulties for guests with mobility problems.

Up to 3 well - behaved dogs are welcome, but owners must keep them on leads when not in the garden and clean up after them immediately .
Dogs are not allowed upstairs, or on the furniture and should not be left in the house unattended unless crated.
As courtesy to our neighbours no cars are permitted onto the yard after 10.30pm. If you arrive late, please leave the car in the designated parking area.

Why can't I call Jennie (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jennie (the owner) a message.

If Jennie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
