West Country

Bodmin Moor - Land of the Celts!

This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and you can easily see why. This rugged landscape, hewn out of solid granite has the two highest peaks in Cornwall - Roughtor and Brown Willy. Climb to the top and take in some breathtaking views!

From Little Irish there is direct access onto the moor and you can walk to your hearts content and maybe try some horse riding. Hallagenna Stables is just down the road and from here you can ride out over the moors and see things from a totally different perspective.

Being 700 feet above sea level, the views from the barn are wonderful and the contemporary styling is superb. The barn is a perfect retreat for couples and would be ideal for a romantic time away! There is a slick white gloss kitchen with a dining area in front of a fixed pane window and the lovely views. The furnishings are contemporary and there is a fantastic modern wood burning stove to snuggle up in font of. Wonderful!

St Breward is a traditional moorland village and has great amenities with a post office and a shop. The local inn - The Old Inn is also popular with locals and visitors alike. Sup a pint of traditional ale and tuck in to some home cooked food!

Although tucked away, you are not far from the A30 or other routes from St Breward to visit the rest of what Cornwall has to offer. A stay here will not disappoint!

“fantastic will be staying again”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2015

finding the cottage was the only issue to us but thats due to my lack of orientational skills, the cottage itself is very homely. me and my girlfriend loved it. there was loads of activities to do around the local area and the local pub does an amazing breakfast. will be staying again. well worth it.

Thanks for your review. It can be difficult when you don't know an area, but glad you found it and enjoyed your stay. Do let us know when you would like to return. Thanks again!

“Excellent, well-equipped accommodation in a beautiful location!”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2015

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay in Little Irish at the beginning of June. The house is in a stunning location, right on the moors with beautiful views, and it was easy to arrange the booking as the owners were very quick to respond. It is well equipped, and decorated to very high standard - I would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for your review. Little Irish is such a lovely place and it is great that you enjoyed your stay there. Hopefully we will see you again soon!

“Brand new property in lovely setting - perfect for 2 persons plus dog”

Reviewed 23 Nov 2014

Charming and very stylish little barn in the very middle of the moors (do ask for directions the first time you head there). Excellent starting point for exploring both North and South coast; plus the moor itself is lovely, of course. The place offers everything you'd want for two persons and a dog: large living room / kitchen, lovely bedroom and small, but elegant bathroom. Outside, a dedicated sitting area and garden that we used a lot. Charming, uncomplicated and very helpful owners nextdoors.

Dear Guest Thank you so much for your lovely comments! They are very much appreciated and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
