Relax and soak up the views from this large but cosy rural cottage.

When you stay with us you can simply enjoy the beautiful countryside views and walks that surround our gorgeous cottages and soak up the tranquil environment while you relax in the garden and watch the sun set over the lake on your doorstep. With so many local tourist attractions you won't be disappointed - clay pigeon shooting, indoor surfing & flying, archery to name a few just under 20 minutes away.

FOOD

Our friendly clubhouse boasts a gorgeous little cafe, where you can enjoy some of our scrummy homemade cakes, lunches, and freshly ground coffee - this also couples with a fully licensed bar.

A must if you visit us here is The Plough in Bolnhurst just a stones throw from the cottage – a fantastic countryside restaurant that attracts diners from far and wide.

GOLF

If you enjoy golf, we offer FREE golf after midday or reduced green fees before midday on our 18-hole course. We also give all guests a reduced golf buggy hire fee too!

Other facilities available are our floodlit driving range, Golf tuition with our qualified professional. We even have a small Pitch and Putt course – perfect for beginners, or even our FootGolf course (Golf but kicking a football!!!) which is great fun for anyone!

FAMILY FUN

FootGolf has now become a very popular sport and we have many families, with sometimes 3 generations enjoying themselves.

FISHING

Day fishing tickets can also be purchased, with the residents of the cottage having exclusive fishing in front of their cottage, just perfect to nip in for a cup of tea or a nice cold beer from the fridge

LAYOUT

Our super versatile 5 bedroom cottage can sleep upto 12 guests in singles, or doubles/family rooms.

Ground floor: The down stairs rooms can accommodate 2, one as either a twin or a double and the other as a twin, double on a sofa bed or alternatively as a snug to give you more living space. With 2 shower rooms, fully equipped kitchen/living area with oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, TV, Video and 1 sofa bed if required.

1st Floor: 2 very spacious bedrooms - each can be used to sleep upto 3 guests either as 3 singles or 1 double and a single to make family rooms. With a bathroom and separate WC. Plus 1 smaller room to accomdate a double or a twin.

2 well behaved dogs are permitted to stay in Ollie's Lodge - please inform us prior to your stay.
Our lodges are highly sought after for their tranquil surroundings - we ask that guests and their dogs respect the peace & tranquility of their surroundings.
Dogs should not be left unattended without a crate in the property at anytime and we ask that they are kept off of the furniture. Any mess must be cleared from the garden before vacation.

Why can't I call Julie (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

How can I retract my booking request?

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Julie (the owner) a message.

If Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
