Description from manager

Description

Blacksmith Cottage is a large family home in the heart of historic Bosham, our pretty local sailing village.

This modern and comfortable house has a large kitchen furnished with everything you will need to effectively self-cater during your stay. The kitchen includes oven, hob, freezer, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a comfortable seating area overlooking the tranquil garden. On warmer days there is a BBQ outside with plenty of outside seating and a shed at the bottom of the garden where you can store your bikes.

At the front of the house is a large cosy living area with a TV and a wood burner, the perfect room to snuggle down after a day of walking around Bosham harbour or even shopping in the nearby Chichester city centre.

This property has 4 bedrooms, a master bedroom with a super king bed and a shower room en suite, 2 king size rooms and a bunk bed room with an extra pull out bed. The family bathroom is on the top floor and has a bath and separate shower.

There is plenty of parking for two cars. Wifi is available.

Bosham is one of the most picturesque and historic villages in West Sussex, famous for being the rumoured site where King Canute unsuccessfully ordered the tide to retreat and for the Saxon Church which appears in the Bayeux tapestry. Bosham is now well known for its active sailing club, sitting on a pretty creek at the edge of the 30 miles of navigable channels of Chichester Harbour, an important wild life sanctury. To the north of the village is the station, with easy access to London Victoria via Chichester to the east and London Waterloo via Havant to the west. Links by road to the A27 to Brighton, the A3M to London via guildford and the M27 to Southampton are nearby.

Local attractions include Goodwood, with its stunning racecourse and motor racing circuit, Polo at Cowdray and the historic Cathedral city of Chichester, with wide variety of shopping and the renowned Festival Theatre.

Please note smoking or lit candles are not permitted in the house.

“Amazing house - Amazing holiday”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2019

Our family of 5 adults 1 child and 2 dogs have just had the best Christmas ever thanks to this fantastic house. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with even more in the utility room. The dining area was lovely and the underfloor heating made it very cosy. The main lounge had enough comfortable seating for us all and the second lounge was taken over by the ‘gamers’ which meant we could watch tv etc without disturbing them! The four bedrooms had very cosy beds and plenty of wardrobe space in each of them. The en-suite shower room was great and the family bathroom was perfect for everyone else. The dogs loved wandering round the garden as well as their walks around the village - the garden must be lovely in the summer too. All the family agreed that it was a fabulous house and wanted to book again for next Christmas . Sadly we have left it too late as some lucky person has beaten us to it but they are going to have a great time, we are already jealous!
