Our eco-friendly place is a charming little hideaway, with a peaceful and secluded location and a wonderful sea view. It is located on a hillside 1,5 km from the picturesque and peaceful little village & harbor of Bozburun.

The nearest neighbour's house is 50 meters away and below (no buildings higher up or at the same level).

The house (built in 2008) has an open layout with integrated lounge/kitchen and sliding doors and windows towards the large terrace facing the sea.The larger bedroom with door/window towards the terrace has one queen-size bed. The smaller bedroom has a bunk bed, the lower bed being slightly larger. The large angled sofa in the lounge can be turned into a double bed.

The kitchen has a fridge with a small freezer and a combined gas/electric stove. There is an oven, a microwave oven and all other utensils you might need. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and a washing machine.

Our place aims to be eco-friendly and using sustainable energy solutions. Therefore, we have solar heated water and a solar-electric system powering the garden lights and the pool system, as well as powering the house during a power outage.

Bozburun is one of those rare coastal villages not yet "discovered" by the tour operators and mass tourism. The Adatepe surroundings are unspoilt and peaceful. The driveable road ends 300 meters away and below our house at the seaside hotel "Mete". From there a dirt road (not driveable) and (for the last 50 meters) a steep dirt track with steps leads up to our house. The sea shore is 200 meters downhill from the house (45 meters elevation), an easy 5 minute walk for those who are normally fit.

At the cosy Veranda hotel (200 meters downhill), you can have a nice dinner, a beer or a soft-drink at the water-front, rent a kayak or swim.

Fresh mountain water can be fetched at the nearby water post (very good and for free) by the small public beach close to hotel Mete. Bottled water can of course be purchased in any shop.

Our wooden terrace with a bamboo roof covers the full length of the house (11 meters) facing the sea, the bay and the sun-set.

At the south side garden there is a pergola with a shading roof, a dinner table for 8 persons, a BBQ in the stone wall and a shower.

At the north side of the house is our small pool (3 m diameter) with a wooden sun-deck area with sunbeds (partly covered), table and a shower.

The house has no air conditioning system but the Meltemi wind coming directly from the open sea, passes through the windows during the day. In the evening the mountain wind makes a cool breeze in the opposite direction. There are ceiling fans and some floor-standing fans that can be used during the night hours, if needed.

There is a very good sound system to which you can (wirelessly) connect your lap top, smart phone or mp3 player and play your own music. The house has its own wifi system with internet. At most restaurants in the village, as well as at the hotels near to the house, there is internet/wi-fi.

It may be challenging to walk the last part of the dirt track up to the house especially if it is hot, which is why we do not recommend our place to people with physical restraints. For this reason, it is recommended NOT TO BRING LARGE SUITCASES! (it is not possible to wheel them any part of the way from Mete hotel). We strongly recommend only back-packs or similar and proper trekking/walking shoes.

We do not accept children under 7 years of age due to the high elevation to the land below the terrace and garden walls.

Getting around

The local modern minibuses are a comfortable and cheap way of getting around the local area as well as to Marmaris, Datca and other towns. If you are looking for maximum convenience for land transportation, however, we recommend to have a rented car to get around. In Bozburun harbor (and just outside) there are several boats offering daily excursions (lunch included) to nice waters for swimming and snorkelling. It is also possible to rent a small boat with an outboard engine.

After booking, we will send you or personally composed information package about our house, Bozburun and surroundings, where to go/what to do etc. We will personally meet you where the road ends, close to our house, and show you the way up to the house.

What a wonderful house in the mountain with great views and a great garden, if you like to be outside watching the boats sail by on the calming sea this is the place to be. Be prepared for the climb up to the house it can be a struggle on a hot day, however when you get to the top it's worth it. The village is about 1 mile walk and has plenty of options for eating and drinking and just strolling around the gifts shops.

How do damage deposits work?
