The nearest beach at Saunton Sands is 1.7miles by car and a little further round the headland is the famous surf beach at Croyde. You can also access the beach over the sand dunes by parking in the Sandy Lane car park (1 mile away) or drive/cycle along the toll road to the estuary at Crow Point. While the beach is about 1.7 miles away, it is not advisable to walk there from the site due to the lack of a footpath. You can only walk to Saunton beach down the country lane and over the dunes, but it is a fair walk, probably 2.5 miles one way.
There is a regular bus service 200m from the site which will take you to many of the nearby beaches & places of interest: Saunton beach, Croyde beach, Barnstaple, Bideford and Westward Ho! with connections at Braunton to Ilfracombe, or from Barnstaple to many other areas.
