Had my booking cancelled under 2 weeks before we were due to arrive, leaving us in the lurch. The reason given was overbooking??? Not impressed

Hi Holly, Thank you for your feedback. None of the issues were reported to us during your 5 nights to give us the opportunity to rectify anything. Our cleaner wold of been more than happy to return if needed. The mattress has only recently been replaced. The heating is controlled by the thermostat in the kitchen and not on a timer. The price you paid was £90 a night for a complete one bedroom apartment with an outside space which is competitive and good value for money in Brighton. I understand you said this was your first holiday in 10 years so may be out of touch with market prices. I am sorry to learn there were aspects of your stay you were not 100% satisfied with. I am grateful for your feedback and will pass any comments on to the cleaner. We hope to see you again. Charlie Brighton Rock Holidays

I can’t fault this place. It was clean and comfortable and is in a great location. Close to the city centre but still nice and quiet. It was the perfect place for a stop over in Brighton.

Why can't I call Charles (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Charles (the owner) a message.

If Charles (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
