************** "Strongly Recommend!!! " ****************
We've rented a lot of homes over the years, in a lot of different States, and a lot of different Countries too.
Linda was by far the most gracious host we've ever encountered.
We took our 14 year old son, along with some of his friends, and their parents to Bryson City for some trout fishing, hiking, sight seeing, train riding, and white water rafting.
Linda's property was easy to find; very clean, teen friendly, multi-family accommodating, and located in a scenic setting. She went out of her way to make sure our visit went well. She even pointed out where the local's "honey hole" fishing locations were located.
If you're ever planning a vacation in the smoky mountains, we strongly recommend renting Linda's property!!!

*********** "Quiet, secluded, lovely place" ***************:
The Eco cabin & lower floor of house were very spacious & the owner gave us free rein of the place. The main road in & out is a motorcyclists' dream with 101 turns in about 4 miles. We had a great stay in the Smokies!

"What a pleasure to finally have a vacation rental that far exceeded our expectations. I have a family of five plus my parents joined us to vacation in the smokey mountains. The accommodations were excellent. The apartment was clean, private and had all the experience of a eco resort. Linda was amazing and made us feel very welcomed. It was like staying in our own home. We stayed during 4th of July weekend and the rates were very fair. I would have expected to pay much more for what we experienced. We will be back and if your smart and want to get away for a relaxing vacation you would take your family."
****** "Ideal for couples or groups" *************:
This is a beautiful place to come and relax with nature all around. It is conveniently located on paved roads, but with hiking right from the property. The large rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The kitchens were fully stocked just like at home. We came to relax and didn't try out all the many area attractions, but we hear they are plentiful and easy to get to. The owner will meet you and is very accommodating. This is a great spot to bring a group with several different sleeping areas and kitchens available. There are also outdoor seating areas."

"As you travel a lovely winding paved road along side a running creek, via auto or motorcycle, you will be inspired by the views and the tranquility of the area. You will pass farm animals along the way and as you near the property and glance to the right you may be greeted by handsome horses and if you are lucky may catch deer grazing in the meadow. Pulling into Rose Manor I was warmly greeted by Owner, Linda and immediately felt my body relax and unwind as I took in the essence of Rose Manor. Every window displayed colorful views of the surrounding woods.
Carefully cleaned rooms, sweet smelling sheets, warm blankets and all the little amenities and attention to details, would make any guest feel contented and cared for. The area provides so many things to do and also the peaceful space to do nothing. I have returned here several times and will always make it one of my favorite destinations. Don't miss this memorable stay."

"My good friend and I take a long motorcyle ride each year from Kansas and this year we brought his younger son with us to North Carolina. We stayed three nights in the cabin at Rose Manor and it is a spectacular property and location.
The photos on this site give one a good feel for the place, but in person, it is so much more impressive. The lower level creek, garden, and fire pit sitting area are great for quiet get-aways or group conversation alike. Likewise, the upper level decks and sitting areas are an open invitation to admire the surrounding beauty and enjoy good company.
Being motorcyclists, location was very important and Rose Manor places the rider amidst one of the richest treasure troves of riding opportunities available anywhere in the US. Within a fifty mile radius of Rose Manor, we found some of the most challenging and/or scenic rides we have ever ridden. The best-known rides include Dragon's Tail, Cherhola Skyway, and Blue Ridge Parkway...but there are countless lesser known, even unnamed rides, that are more than memorable. Our favorite one was a shorter run on Hwy 28 from Franklin south to Highlands...great curves, pavement surface and pitching, plus a beautiful photo-op at Bridal Veil Falls.
Just prior to our trip, my friend, our wives and I saw James Taylor in concert (Wichita) and "Carolina on My Mind" rings especially true now that we've sampled The Great Smoky Mountains and surrounding areas of southeastern NC. Our stay at Rose Manor couldn't have been better and we'll be looking for the opportunity to return again to enjoy more of the Carolinas and the special nuances of Linda's place and southern hospitality" June 2014
********* "HD Bikers Getaway":****************
Eight men (7 bikes & 1 truck) headed to the NC/TN mountains for a 4-day getaway in search of great riding. We needed lodging for up to 10 and was lucky to find Linda's rentals. Linda was great in providing insight to the Rose Manor and Eco Cabin accommodations during our phone conversations. Linda made the scheduling really easy and was there to welcome us when we arrived. Linda provided enough bedding options that every guy had their own bed with a couple to spare. There are 3-4 King/Full/Double beds and a few twins spread around in different places if you need more. The highlight of the location is the fire pit and grill setup down the stone stairs from the lodging. We cooked out there 2 of 3 nights and talked, joked, laughed, and lied to each other until after midnight each evening. Although the driveway is grass/gravel it was very solid and we all drove up and parked next to the house. Another highlight for bikers is Linda's place is just off Hwy 28 so you get at least 5 miles of twisty road riding every time you leave from and come to the lodging. We were able to ride through the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, ride the Tail of the Dragon (US 129), and visit the Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum in Maggy Valley, this is a must for any motorcycle enthusiast. Everywhere you go provided a wonderful view, great roads, and friendly people.

******* "In the Trees by the Creek":****************
"I arrived to the Smoky Mountains from San Francisco with the desire to get out of the 'big city' and into a more peaceful, natural environment. I immediately felt welcome at the Rose Manor and settled in to my own, private room, complete with a fireplace, bathroom, and kitchen. Everything was cleaner and nicer than I anticipated. From my bedroom window, I can look out toward the beautiful trees surrounding the property. With the windows open, I can hear the lovely birds singing and the relaxing sound of the creek down below. There is also a beautiful eco-friendly cabin where larger groups of travelers can stay. Hiking trails begin from the driveway and the Smoky Mountain National Park and Nantahala are a short drive away. There is an organic garden which generously provides me with delicious vegetables to cook with. I can highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get back to nature and enjoy the peace and beauty of the Smoky Mountains."
