Shanton House is located on an elevated site overlooking the town of Buncrana and enjoys panoramic views across Lough Swilly to the hills of the Fanad peninsula. The house was originally built in the early 1900s and still has the thick outer walls of a traditional property.

To the rear there is an elevated wood deck area which takes full advantage of the sea views on offer. Buncrana town centre with its

shops, restaurants and swimming pool is a 2 min drive away, while the golf courses at Lisfannon and a local 9 hole course are within easy reach.

House is strickly forbidden for stage our hen parties and large group parties IE formal

    Wonderful stay. Bridie was so welcoming and the house was perfect. The grandkids loved it. Easy to walk to the beach with the dog. I'd highly recommend a stay here- beautiful views too.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    If Bridie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
