Due to Covid extra cleaning we are having to block off an additional night between bookings, and therefore we may have to add a surcharge for bookings less than 7 nights. (because a 4 night booking costs us 6 nights).

For bookings under 400 euros may also be subject to a contribution towards agent's costs 140 euros per booking, capped at 400 euros maximum, added manually after quote, and requoted back.

2 bed apartment (4 bed spaces, and a cot) 400m from magnificent sandy beach, 3min walk to Burgau village centre - with its ancient Portuguese charm, restaurants and individual shops. Adjacent undeveloped national park with coastal walks. This modern 'end of terrace' top/1st floor, 2 bath, air conditioned apartment has lovely views over Burgau; the country and the sea - with roof terrace, and large terrace-balcony to all bedrooms and living room. Free access to exclusive swimming pool, and lawned gardens overlooking the sea. Quiet position with no passing traffic, ideal for couples and families alike. Meet and greet service. We offer a high standard of service, and furnishings are to a high standard too, good mattress - not soft or spongy. Location is particularly advantageous. We aim to provide a professional service for complete satisfaction and repeat bookings. WIFI included, as well as international TV by internet. (eg BBC/ITV).

No parties, and please try and clean and tidy up when departing, thank you. Stains and extra cleaning can create problems for cleaners, and especially if trying to prepare in time for next guests. Thanks Judith for the review - sounds like you had a great time, albeit I hear the weather was unseasonably windy at times? Maybe that is why we only received 4*? I understand you had everything you needed in the apartment, and most importantly slept well on our new (and very expensive) mattresses - not the standard 'rental' versions! (We can check the washing machine for sure, and replace it if need be, but it does work and washes clothes well). If there are any extra pots and pans needed, we will buy those too. The dishwasher is there for the convenience of guests, as I know some guests prefer to use it rather than hand wash, even if a small load. You did not inform me of your concerns whilst you were there - even though we specifically requested this - because we can normally remedy any issues very quickly, often on the same day. On another website, we have had 15 x 5* continuous reviews over the past year. So I am not sure what more you were really expecting. Nevertheless, it is always useful to have feedback which helps us to provide better facilities for future guests. We try our very best, but have to accept we cannot please everyone, or change the weather!! Our agents work tirelessly too, and take great pride in their work. We are naturally disappointed about the 4* as you can probably tell, and I know our agent will be disappointed too. For more enjoyment and comfort, the 4* rather suggests future guests should choose 5* places elsewhere. Whereas from my own perspective, the location is one of the best in Burgau, with extensive views, and large terraces. Very comfortable, and a lovely restaurant and free pool included. Everything was freshly decorated this year too, and spotlessly clean. Despite the 4 * thank you for the very nice *5*' description of your experience, and it is good to know you enjoyed.

I am glad all our efforts to present the apartment well were appreciated and that you were pleased with your choice of accommodation. Being right at the end, with no one above, the scope for noisy neighbours is less than most other apartments. However, it isn't something we have recognised ourselves as being an issue, but maybe you were unlucky with some nearby visitors? (Generally, these apartments attract more sophisticated guests, who appreciate quiet and relaxation). From our invoices it looks like there was a problem with a door handle or door, but as you suggest it appears to have been fixed with minimal delay. Having just visited in glorious sunshine - November - it never fails to impress how lucky we are to have this apartment - and we are very pleased to share with others. You would always be very welcome another time! Thanks again for your booking....

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
