Our vacation home Miceli Baiamonte di Burgio (AG). Burgio rises in an internal hilly area, located at 317 meters above sea level, an ancient medieval village rich in art and traditions, located in the Agrigento hinterland about 20 minutes from the sea of Sciacca and only 45 minutes away from the archaeological sites of Agrigento and Selinunte, at 13 km Caltabellotta, famous for the peace signed on 31 August 1302 at the end of the war of the Sicilian Vespers, between the Angevins and the Aragonese. The country offers a thousand reasons to be visited by hosting about a hundred 800 stone portals, features are the shops, artisans, hand-painted ceramics with typical yellow and green colors, bronze bells, wooden objects and embroidery, stained glass windows artistic, wrought iron, majolica of ancient workmanship. Among the monuments of the town stand out the church of San Vito from the 1500s which preserves a statue of the homonymous saint, the church of San Giuseppe rich in frescoes and seventeenth-century stuccos and the church of San Luca evangelista dating back to the 14th century. Remarkable from a historical point of view is the Arab castle (or Tower) to visit after a walk along Arab and medieval alleys. In the agricultural sector the production of olives, grapes, almonds, citrus fruits and fruit is significant. Burgio is the ideal place to spend a cultural holiday in the name of ecological and gastronomic walks. Furthermore, the place is favorably placed for a relaxing and serene Sunday outing about 15 minutes from the "Parco dei monti Sicani" with altitudes that generally exceed 1,000m asl, up to 1578 meters of Monte Cammarata and 1436 meters of Monte delle Rose, they present a remarkable complexity of environments and microclimates, from which springs a great phlogistic wealth and forest situations.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
