Description from owner

Description

Dan y Graig (Under the Rock) sits beneath a Welsh rockery, surrounded by greenery. It is located on a single-track road above the popular harbour town of Burry Port, which affords it a view from the conservatory and purpose built viewing deck. It is within striking distance of the most sought-after beaches and National Parks in Wales, to the west Pembrokeshire, and the east, Gower peninsular and the Brecon Beacons. It provides an ideal retreat from city life, with unspoilt country walks and beautiful scenery - and all the while ones feels like a 'local' and not a tourist.

The Wales region

The town and harbour are 20 mins walk down-either on footpaths or one-track road. Burry Port has a beach which is used mostly by locals. There is some surf, great views and the iconic lighthouse to visit and take pictures. The harbour is stunning with excellent sunset views, and plenty of open space to walk around.

The town has many friendly eateries which are growing rapidly in popularity, for their ambience and food quality. There's a well stocked co-op for groceries with great baked goodies, and a coffee shop -hidden in the Post Office:)

Burry Port

Very quiet, there are only a few houses - the road is access only- and it peters out up from the cottage and becomes a bridleway.
