Description

2 Bedrooms- Situated in truly rural surroundings, with some spectacular views from the location, this is an ideal base from which to visit the many attractions the area has to offer.

Easy access to the market town of Bakewell, the history of Buxton and the country houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are all but a short drive.

Excellent walking exists from the location in addition to Dovedale, Lathkill Dale, Monsal Dale and Millers Dale all being nearby.

Taddington Barns (including Badgers Wood, Robins Nest, Swift's Retreat and The Manor) have been restored to fully reflect their character, with exposed beams, wooden floors, carefully co-ordinated fabrics and furnishings being used throughout.

It is possible for up to 12 people to dine together in either Badgers Wood or Robins Nest (if booked together)being adjacent at the same location.

Use of grounds and facilities available as advised by the owners.

The accommodation and private parking for the barns is accessed from a long sweeping drive.

Adjacent to Badgers Wood, this barn is of similar character and quality, with both old and new features being added to give the property a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The accommodation off the entrance hall, has been turned upside down. On the ground floor, the main bedroom to the rear, has a double bed with its own en suite bathroom, with bath and shower over, hand basin and toilet.

The second bedroom has two single beds and further beams giving the room plenty of character and its own en suite shower room, with shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet.

The spiral staircase to the first floor lead to the open plan and fully fitted and equipped kitchen, with vaulted ceilings, oak beams and king post trusses, wooden floors and occasional rugs, which is open plan through to the lounge and dining area to the rear.

This cottage is one of four cottages at the same location which can be booked together to sleep 28 people, the others are: Badgers Wood (Sleeps 6), Swift's Retreat (Sleeps 4), The Manor (Sleeps 14)

Why can't I call Cleo (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Cleo (the owner) a message.

If Cleo (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
