From the owner

This villa located in quiet Calci, just outside of Pisa is a perfect holiday retreat for both families and couples alike. Located at the end of a quiet street, the property in enclosed by a privacy wall with a gated entrance. There is room inside the gate to park up to 3 cars.

Just inside the gate you find the beginning of a wonderful garden that wraps around 3 sides of the home. There are trees providing shade throughout, as well as sunny patched for those who would like to get some sun. A comfortable sitting area complete with several patio chairs and couches is located at the back. There is also a delightful little terrace with a table and chairs where a summer dinner would be much enjoyed. Beyond this terrace and gravel covered sitting area there is a large garden that extends way out into the olive groves. This is a slightly 'wilder' area with many flowering plants and bushes. It would be the perfect spot for kids to have an endless game of tag or hide-and-seek!

The inside of the villa is comprised of two main floors (with a third floor bedroom available as an extra bed if needed, though the bedroom is small). On the ground floor there is a nice entryway which to the left leads to a library, complete with a desk, reading chairs and of course plenty of books. To the right of the entry you find a sitting room which leads into another sitting room towards the back of the house. The rooms are large enough that the whole family could gather in one. However it is nice to have two separate areas should each wish to have his or her own space.

Located at the back of the ground floor is a spacious dining room and just off the dining room, the kitchen, which is currently undergoing a complete renovation (May 2013). Also located on the ground floor is a 'cantina', a large storage room where you could store bikes, groceries, strollers, etc. In this room there is also a washing machine and iron and ironing board.

On the second floor of the home you find 4 comfortable bedrooms and a huge bathroom with a classic antique soaking tub.

As mentioned above, there is a top floor which has a small bedroom with a 1.5 size bed and a small bathroom.

Throughout the house you find gorgeous frescos painted on the ceilings. The home is fully furnished and has a complete kitchen.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Giusto (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
