Situated in a quiet road near the center of Quarante, The Belvedere B&B,opened its doors to the public in late 2009 after 5 years of total renovation of the 18th Century building. Situated on a hill surrounded by the vineyards of Languedoc Roussillon, the largest wine-producing region in the world, and with views south to the Pyrenees and north to the 'Montagne Noire'. Quarante is 20mins by car to Beziers, Narbonne and St Chinian. The Canal du Midi is a short walk or bicycle ride away. The region was extensively developed by the Romans and is noted for their legacy. The 'Via Domitia' being just one example. Quarante has two butchers, a baker, a chemist, a vegetable shop, a self-service mini market, a newsagent and two schools and a population of 1500. So it is a thriving picturesque typical French village. There are plenty of good restaurants within 10 minutes' drive and we are lucky to have two excellent restaurants a short walk from the village.
Quarante has a regular bus route servicing Beziers. Free Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Personal attention may also be expected, one of the advantages of staying in a B&B (or small hotel) against a large impersonal establishment. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send William Nigel (the owner) a message.

If William Nigel (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
