“Stunning view and beautiful apartment”
This apartment has everything you need for the perfect stay in Carbis Bay. Particularly liked the finer touches which really raised this apartment to another level i.e. underfloor heating, very comfortable bed, superior quality bed linen, towels, fixtures and fittings, it really does make a difference. And the sea view was incredible. The walk down to the beach and back need a certain level of fitness but there are several beaches in St Ives that can be reached by the little train or by bus from the main St Ives road, a short walk from the apartment. There is also a lovely coastal walk to St Ives which is not too strenuous (read the blog sent with your welcome email for directions to this). There are a few very good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment (we particularly liked La Calista and The Cornish Arms serves standard pub grub which is also good). Also plenty of excellent restaurants in St Ives and Ace taxis charge about £6.50 for the journey home if you cant face the walk after a night out. We would definitely stay again and can highly recommend.
Response from the owner Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We can feel your enthusiasm for the apartment and the area which is great. Once St Ives takes hold of you it is a lifetime love affair. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Mike & Tina
The apartment was superb, in an ideal location just a 25 minute walk into St Yves We had a great time and definitely will stay here again
Response from the owner Thank you so much Martin & Linda, really glad you had a great winters break! Mike & Tina
we stayed for 1 week in the apartment in July, the quality of the apartment is fantastic, it is equiped with everything you could possibly need for a totally relaxing & enjoyable stay. The bed is the most comfy ever. There is a lovely seating area where you can admire the views eat breakfast ,or enjoy a glass of wine . If you want a holiday where you feel totally relaxed in your accommodation book these apartments you won't be disappointed. The views from the apartment are stunning , there is a pathway through the garden leading to Carbis bay beach , which is really lovely . The coastal walk into st ives takes about 20 mins, if you dont want to walk you can catch the local branch line this makes access into St Ives very easy, a taxi is around £ 4.50. A lovely part of the world ,with lots to see & do .
“Great get away”
We booked a week in December 2011 to get away from London in the run up to xmas. We had an amazing week and spent the days exploring Cornwall and relaxing in the wonderful flat. The flat is very modern with all the creature comforts you would expect, with the underfloor heating being a particular treat. The view in the morning accross the sea was just amazing. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and if you are looking for a winter get away, then this is a perfect choice.
“Beautiful apartment in a stunning location”
Carbis Bay is an ideal location for exploring St Ives which is easily accessible by public transport, car , or a splendid coastal path walk. All the beaches in St Ives Bay are within a short distance and the surrounding area has much to offer. Godrevy View is a bright, comfortable, well appointed apartment with a superb view on the eponymous Godrevy Lighthouse. (Virginia Woolf fans get down here !!) I have stayed at this apartment twice and thoroughly recommend it for its location, view and comfort when you return from day's exploration.
