From the owner

Come stay in the beautiful 4X4 area of Corolla, called Carova, where the wild horses roam free. Twin Shores is owner managed, and we take pride in providing our guests a wonderful vacation at the beach.

Features: private pool (open mid May- mid October), hot tub, ocean views, rooftop deck, charcoal grill, gas grill, kayak, hammock. Dogs are OK, 4WD required, sleeps 9.

NOTE: linens (sheets, towels) are NOT provided. Pillows and blankets are provided.

2 new loungers at the pool mean the current loungers got moved to the front deck, 2 new counter height chairs on the front sun deck, high chair and pack n play for the little ones in your group, 3 new beach chairs to take to the beach, new bigger TV in the king and queen master bedrooms

Twin Shores is located on Carova beach, which is the 4X4 access beach in Corolla, NC. You need a true 4WD vehicle and you must air down so you can drive on the sand (8 miles) to reach the house. This is a truly unique beach because wild horses roam free and can be seen very often visiting the yard. This is a reverse floor plan home so you will enjoy the ocean view from the living area. There is comfortable furniture, a 65" flat-screen TV with surround sound, DVD, Netflix, and extensive movie library. We have an antenna that gets over 20 channels. The sun deck on this level has comfortable deck furniture, built in seating, a gas grill and picnic table. The free-standing gas fireplace is not available. Our updated kitchen has everything you need to cook for your family, including a Keurig coffee machine, a full size electric griddle so the whole family can eat breakfast at the same time, rice cooker, slow cooker, blender, food processor, and new Cuisinart toaster oven. Steps from the kitchen is the spacious screened in porch where you can enjoy the seven person hot tub! Through the door on the porch, go up the stairs to a large rooftop deck with amazing ocean views and star gazing at night. Twin Shores is dog friendly. Up to 3 housebroken dogs are allowed during your stay with a non refundable $150 pet fee.

The extensive Carova canal system, and the beach, are both just a 7 minute walk from Twin Shores. We provide one single kayak for our guests to enjoy. ***PLEASE NOTE: Linens are NOT provided***

A reminder to everyone that linens are not included, I provided them this time because it was off season (less busy) and right before we close for the season, the travelers were international and had not realized that linens were not included. Twin Shores was a great place for our family. Easily in walking distance to the beach and we loved the hot tub and the roof top hammock. Just wish hurricane Matthew would have stayed away.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Julie (the owner) a message.

If Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
