Weavers Cottage is a large, luxury, detached 4 bedroom cottage located in the gorgeous village Cartmel on the southern tip of the Lake District in Cumbria.

This gorgeous detached cottage has 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 1 of which is en-suite and has private off-road parking for 4 cars.

Please note we only rent out our properties for the following options:-

1. Full week from a Monday or Friday.

2. 3 night weekend of Friday to Monday.

3. 4 night mid-week break of Monday to Friday.

Full central heating and hot water are included in the price.

The large kitchen is packed with Kitchen Aid appliances that include a large stainless steel fridge/freezer, large range cooker with 3 ovens, a wok burner and 4 gas burners.

Throughout the kitchen there are several ‘Kitchen Aid’ electrical items including a large built in microwave, a large built in wine cooler, toaster, kettle etc.

The kitchen opens out into a large sunny conservatory. Here you'll find a large dining table that seats 8 people.

The conservatory looks out across the garden and to open fields beyond and is perfect for entertaining and watching the wildlife that frequents the garden.

The washing machine, tumble drier, iron, ironing board, stair gate and high chair are all located out the way in the utility room.

In the sitting room, a new 8 seater sofa was added in 2020.

The large Panasonic Smart, LCD TV has Freeview, the Sky ‘Entertainment package’, ‘Now TV’ and ‘recordable TV’. The walls are decorated with local prints and historic artwork.

The cottage has 2 large downstairs 'king-size' bedrooms, both of which are individually styled and furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

One bedroom has a super king sized bed that can be unzipped to create a twin bedroom with 2 single beds. Please let us know if this is your requirement. This bedroom also has a flat-screen LCD TV.

The 2nd downstairs bedroom has a brand new Sealy 'Posturepedic' king-sized bed and overlooks the garden.

Also downstairs is a 'family' bathroom with a large bath, shower, basin and toilet. The contemporary styled bathroom is fully tiled and very chic and stylish.

Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom with an en-suite ‘wet room’. This luxurious bathroom has a large walk in shower, basin and toilet. The bedroom has a king size bed with a brand new Sealy 'Posturepedic' king-sized mattress, stylish furniture and a flat screen TV.

Also upstairs is another large bathroom with a roll top, claw foot, free standing bath, toilet and basin. This contemporary bathroom is also fully tiled and is another example of the great taste and high standards the owners have used throughout the cottage.

The 4th bedroom is again provided with a king size bed and quality bedroom furniture.

The large garden on all 4 sides of the cottage has views across open fields and has a lovely mixture of mature shrubs and a large lawned area that is ideal for ball games and garden recreation.

To the side of the conservatory you’ll find a patio area with a large garden table and eight chairs along with the BBQ for those wonderful al-fresco meals. This area is now totally enclosed and fenced off to provide a secure area for toddlers and dogs.

PETS

We pride ourselves in offering 1 of the best dog friendly holiday cottages in the Lake District.

Dogs are welcome for a small charge of £20 for 1 dog, £30 for 2 dogs. Please note that you must notify us if you wish to bring a dog before you book.

Non pet owners can rest assured that we spend this extra money on additional cleaning so that non pet owners would have no idea a dog has stayed in Weavers Cottage.

All the pubs in Cartmel are dog and child friendly.

Weavers Cottage was originally part of a weaving/looming workshop that was in the garden.

The original sign for the looming workshop hangs proudly on the wall at the end of the conservatory. Throughout the cottage you’ll find old ink drawings of local looming & weaving etc.

Weavers Cottage is the best holiday cottage in Cartmel village.

Thank you for your review. I’m a little disappointed that you rated our cottage with 4 not 5 stars, especially as you wrote that you “would highly recommend this Cottage”. The cottage has 3 bathrooms, 2 of which have wall-mounted showers. The only bathroom without a wall-mounted shower has a free-standing roll top bath. It’s not possible to have a wall-mounted shower over a freestanding bath but most people love that bathroom because of the roll top bath. We strive to be as perfect as possible and live up to our reputation that Weavers Cottage is the best holiday cottage in Cartmel. I'm sorry that we didn't quite hit top marks in your opinion but thank you for your feedback.

Why can't I call SIMON (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send SIMON (the owner) a message.

If SIMON (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
