From the owner

Villa Montanina is situated in the beautiful valley of the Casentino. The Villa have been renovated with materiaI typical of Tuscany.
The pool is open from June to 1 October.
The Tuscany Holiday Villa lies on the edge of a historic hamlet, Borgo Montanina, still today is in the ownership of the same family.
Here we find also the landlord's villa and a small chapel on a lovely little piazza opening to the Arno valley.
With free and wide views down into the valley lies this beautiful Villa in one of best panoramic location, over the Arno valley you may enjoy unforgettable hours under the beautiful covered terrace or at the pool with its covered pergola and the big dining table.
In 2000 part of the hamlet was restored, so the old Tuscan farm with its stables and barns has been restored in an authentic way; even the old historical silos from former times have not been torn down but were rather given their original outlook now being witnesses of times long gone. A bit further down the villa has a elegant pool, also in a dream position, with “Roman steps” – elegantly you might step into the water. Absolutely quiet and even with hot summer enjoying the fresh air of this fantastic Tuscany landscape.
Surrounded by century old trees the private property extends until down to the Arno river amidst the forests of the Casentino.
If you are looking for genuine Tuscany landscape you will find it here in charming old towns and villages where time seems to stand still.
Signora Cristina the landlady herself has been supervising the restoration works being an interior designer herself.
With beautiful antiques and collectors' pieces she has created a truly charming atmosphere, by using the traditional Tuscan colors, given the rooms a very warm touch underlined by precious textiles – retaining, however, the character of this formerly agricultural complex.
It is, beyond other aspects, this sound symbiosis which makes the property so charming.
Cozy the inner Patio where one can nicely have meals with the entire group. At the pool one could just lie in the sun or take a seat in the shadow of the pergola. There is a lot of space, corners with sitting area everywhere.
All in all a magnificent refuge with great charm, all kept in the characteristic Tuscan style.
Nowadays below the pool wine is cultivated again. And guests have the possibility to buy it directly from the landlord.
You will be welcome by the charming owners themselves who in their gentle and forthcoming manner will be ready to assist you in any way you may wish.

Over a few steps you will get into the former farm house:
You enter a big open room that has a large old dining table in front of the cozy open fire place.
The three beautiful bedrooms are kept in warm colors, one of the two comfortable bathrooms, nice colors and furniture, is en suite. Antique furniture together with collectors' pieces underline the elegant atmosphere.

Second Floor:
Large living room with kitchenette (dishwasher, oven) with gallery, large dining table, 3 bedrooms : 1 with queen size and bathroom with shower , 1with queen size and 1 with two single beds. One bathrooms with shower
Over a small charming corridor with staircase one gets to this area. Big, spacious living room with separated kitchen corner. Two decorative fire places in opposite corners (probably tobacco had been dried here in former times) and a small gallery with enormous sofa attribute this room a particularly intimate atmosphere. Beautiful old furniture and well set accents add to an elegant and comfortable “ambience”. The three charming bedrooms are held in warm colors; one of the two comfortable bathrooms with nice colors and furniture again is en suite.

A comfortable and elegant living room with sleeping couch is the central part of this house. A nice kitchen at just a few steps, small bath room as well. The upper level comprises the open beautiful bedroom, again with splendid panoramic view down to the Arno valley; en suite its lively colored comfortable bath room.

Arezzo is still today one of the charming old Tuscan cities, with elegant shops at its medieval city centre. Well prepared for tourism, nevertheless it is the Aretini who shape the atmosphere of the city; they proudly sit in front of the bars or under the famous Vasari arcades having their café or aperitivo.
Arezzo is the city of goldsmiths and antique dealers; every first weekend of the month the probably biggest antique market in Tuscany takes place on the Piazza Grande and the famous arcades. Dealers and clients come from everywhere. So why make a long trip if you could rent your holiday villa so close to the event.
Maybe you should also consider to visit the picturesque old village of Anghiari not far from Arezzo.
The Casentino with its extended forests is probably one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany. Its valley with the Arno river is situated like an amphitheatre amidst the mountains some of which truly impressive. The Casentino is renowned for its many picturesque medieval Borghi and strongly defended castles, the best preserved in Tuscany to be found at Poppi. Outstanding pieces of craftsmanship and art are produced here. Peace and tranquility still today are the main characteristics of life rhythm. Rassina 3 km(supermarket, pharmacy, bank, post office, restaurant).
Pieve Socana 1,5 km old village with small supermarket (fresh bread and even on Sunday), a small restaurant, pizzeria
