' Riniera ' is situated in a quiet corner of the Italian countryside and is just 2 km from the lively medieval town of Castel San Pietro Terme.
The apartment is situated on the ground floor of the villa and is accessed from the main entrance, through the porch of North/East.
From the elegant entrance hall of the historic house, you enter the part reserved for guests, consisting of a comfortable living room furnished with antiques and decorated with a magnificent parquet of the nineteenth century.
In a corner of the living room is arranged a little kitchenette, for limited use to a warming function, complete with fridge.
From this area leads to both the master bedroom painted and furnished in period style and also by a magnificent original parquet, either to the bathroom, perfectly organized and comfortable.
We offer our guests:-one double bedroom comfortable and recently restored with frescoed ceiling;
-an elegant sitting room furnished with period pieces (a bed for a child is not very high can be arranged upon request at no extra charge).
-a bathroom a little older but comfortable, modernised and efficient;
-a large romantic park, enchants with its colors according to the seasons. The lucky ones will enjoy the amazing bloom of more than 12000 plants of Peony that during April and may grow in the Park and fields in front of the villa.
-two large porches with opposite the Park, with its fogs in winter and spring blooms.
-a rich breakfast, which our guests can prepare directly, or be served from 8.30 to 9.30 a.m. (in the latter case with an extra 15 euros per person).

-free parking near the main entrance to the villa and a few meters from the entrance of the room.
-turndown service daily: in order to enjoy the apartment must be left available no later than 10 a.m.
Our family lives in this House for over eighty years. Lucia and Niccolò, the current owners, together with their children Matilde Ranganath and Margaret, will always be available to resolve guest issues and requests and happy to tell the story of Riniera, dei Marchesi Rusconi who built on a much older House, the foundations of which are still visible, the second world war that saw her engaged in front of Gothic line Giuliana's aunt, who lived and loved for more than sixty years, along with his guests, his Yorkshire Terrier, his cats, his piano.
Also Niccolò and Lucia are very familiar with the area and usually the Central Italy and will be able to recommend the best places to eat or just enjoy a tea or a glass of wine, the most interesting from a historical and architectural or landscaping, most distinctive museums, shops, the best of the great walks trails suitable for different levels of difficulty , and other fantastic opportunities and activities in the area.
If you feel like it, Lucy will introduce you to the wonderful world of peonies that is an experienced farmer and collector, while Nicholas, if you bikers there might show some of the best trails in the hills and Plains that went past 25 years discovering explorations around.
Villa ' La Riniera ' is situated on a plateau overlooking the Po Valley a few kilometers from the Via Emilia and the Adriatic line railroad station and five kilometres from the motorway A14.
Bologna Airport is 25 kilometres away.
It is surrounded by a hilly landscape still untouched and full of charm and is an ideal starting point for excursions of all kinds: walk towards the hills, gullies and small towns of inestimable beauty (Dozza is the closest); racing bike or mountain bike to the Interior of hills (the landscapes of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines) or towards the plain, its centres and its valleys (Comacchio) true natural treasures; drive to historic towns of great charm (Imola, Bologna, Ravenna, Florence, Parma, Modena, Rimini, Venice, etc. etc.) and nature in a few tens of kilometres together hills, Plains, sea mountain.
The renowned spa ' Castel San Pietro Spa and a wonderful 18-hole golf course are only 1500 meters from the villa and are easily reachable with a short walk through the charming park along the river Sillaro.
The train station and motorway are just five minutes away from the House: trains to Bologna Centrale (the journey takes 15/20 minutes) leave every half hour. From Bologna central station can be reached with ease and quickly reach all major cities in the Centre and North.
In highway guests can easily reach many places of interest including Imola (8 min), Bologna (20 min), Ravenna (40 min), Rimini (50 min), Ferrara (50 min), Parma (70 min), Florence (90 min), Venice (90 min), Milan (150 min).
