From the owner

Take a vacation from the ordinary at this marvelous house, dating from the 17th century and within five generations in the same family. Set on 65 Ha of pastoral land, the property retains its original stateliness, but has been recently restored. Spend your vacation by the pool, or gather along the fireplace, or use the property as a base to explore this beautiful Portugal region, plenty oh history, local customs and its amazing historical villages, like Monsanto, one of the 15 most beautiful villages in the world.

Exterior leisure areas, outside the living and dining room, besides plenty of seating around the in ground pool, and ancient stone tank, both tucked into the olive groves, provide a relaxing atmosphere.

For our guests comfort, daily service is provided, by an attentive staff.

Each of the five bedrooms has en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and its own sitting area. They are neatly decorated, with carved wood furniture and superior bed linen quality, as well as an upper feathers mattress.

In each bedroom, guests may choose between double bed or twin beds.

Modern kitchen, fully equiped.

The villa is located 1,5 Km away from the district capital, Castelo Branco, with shops, and the unique gardens of the Episcopal Palace. Also available 5 mn away, regional cheese workshops, horse riding, tennis courts, and other amenities in the city. If you’d like to do some sightseeing, the historical villages, the Tejo National Park, absolutely marvelous, with exclusive boat trips and bird watching, as well as Penha Garcia, with its fossils, Idanha a Velha, an ancient roman village, are only some of the suggestions.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
