This delightful, two-roomed apartment is located on the top floor of a building of aristocratic origin in the historic center of Castiglion Fiorentino, a typical Tuscan hill-top town, enclosed by medieval town-walls.Refurbished throughout in original materials (clay, exposed timber beams etc.), it is at the same time fully equipped with all modern comforts, practical, as follows: Bedroom with twin beds convertible into double bed; living-room with kitchenette (gas stove and electric oven) and large, double sofa-bed; bathroom with shower; independent central-heating system; elevator; video entryphone.

The apartment's location makes it an ideal base for sampling the delicious specialties of Tuscan cuisine (such as Chianina steak; (virgin) olive oil; Chianti wines), as also for exploring the region's uniquely rich cultural and artistic heritage, showcased in the magnificent ancient towns of both Tuscany and nearby Umbria (Cimabue, Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Vasari, Luca Signorelli, Masaccio, Giotto, Lorenzetti, Michelangelo, Raphael, Perugino). It is situated 18 kms (11 miles) from Arezzo, 15 kms (9 miles) from Cortona, 30 kms (18 miles) from Lake Trasimeno, 60 kms (37 miles) from Perugia, 100 kms (62 miles) from Orvieto, 92 km (57 miles) from Florence, 94 km (58 miles) from Assisi (all of which are also within easy reach by train). In addition, from here it is only 70 kms (43 miles) to Siena, 38 kms (23 miles) to Sansepolcro or Anghiari or Città di Castello, and 71 km (44 miles) to the Franciscan Sanctuary of La Verna.
