We are situated in Champagne Valley of the beautiful Central Drakensberg of South Africa, on the property of Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort.

Orchard Manor is set amongst two fruit tree groves on a hill side above Mount Champagne and the Drakensberg Boys Choir School. Walking out onto the spacious back lawn, guests find themselves met with commanding views of Cathkin and Champagne Castle mountain peaks.

Situated five minutes drive (1.3km) by private road from the reception, Orchard Manor offers the perfect retreat for those seeking privacy in the mountains.

Orchard Manor Unit 2, making up one wing of the Manor, is separated into three large rooms of which two are en suite bedrooms. It is fully equipped for self-catering. It

The main bedroom contains a king sized bed and bathroom with bath and shower. The second bedroom has 4 singles and a bathroom with a bath/shower combination. The third room contains an open plan lounge and dining room. There is also a fully equipped kitchenette.

There is a beautiful outdoor braai area, looking on to Cathkin and Champagne Castle mountain peaks.

Guests also have the benefit of full access to Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort (1.3km away) with its wide range of activities and facilities. These include a restaurant, Oaks Superette, hiking trails, swimming pool, tennis courts, the Adventure Centre, horse rides, mountain bike trails, and Westline Aviation helicopter flights. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Shannon (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
