Getting around

If you are planning on staying in Bath there is no real requirement for a car. From the apartment most of the sites are available by foot and is probably the best way to see Bath in all it's glory. There is a fantastic train service to London or surrounding towns , the station only a 8 minute walk away. In addition there are local buses to local towns and villages. If you are looking to travel further a field, then a car hire maybe a good option for you.

Interaction with guest

To put you at ease, there is generally always someone at the end of the phone or via email to answer your questions. Sarah , who manages the property lives locally and is available for any queries or problems. Equally, we will not intrude or bother you should you not wish us to.

“Perfect Location”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2018

Firstly, the best thing about this property by far is the perfect location. It is such a short walk into the centre of Bath, perfect for site seeing, and yet the location is quiet and peaceful. Parking locally short term is expensive, but we arranged a permit with the property owner for a couple of days, and parking is free without permit on a Sunday. The property itself is at first glance stunning - It's spacious, the ceilings are so high, they're truly stunning and the windows give lots of light. Beds are clean and tidy, and property generally very clean. There were, however, a couple of issues with the stay which caused me concern. For starters, we travelled with 2 children, a 9 year old and a 2 year old, who were sharing the twin room. The twin room had only one curtain instead of 2, which didn't cover the window, and the internal shutters had broken hooks meaning it was impossible to keep them closed - This left me with a toddler going scatty and refusing to sleep as it was still 'day time'. In the end I managed to find a roll of sellotape in a random box in the corner of the lounge, and sellotaped them shut for our stay. Just about did the job, but it was hot and the shutters kept banging all night where we left the window slightly open, keeping the 9-year old awake. Be prepared for thinking outside the box to make the room dark. Because of the height of the windows, even my travel black-out blind wasn't enough. My other main concern was the towels - I was really impressed to find clean towels as it hadn't even occurred to me to pack any, but both myself and my partner, without conferring, noticed the towels stank of cigarettes. I really don't want to dry my face with a fag-ash smelling towel and would recommend taking your own. The property is beautiful, there is no doubt, but it needs some simple repairs - The curtains in the double room are falling down, plug sockets are loose in the wall, the bathroom tap could do with being replaced and the bottom shelf in the fridge falls out if you put anything in it, let alone the shutters in the twin room. Potentially in the summer it would be nice if the duvets weren't quite so thick, it was roasting but then this weather is unheard of so you can't prepare for everything. Leaving all that aside, it is comfortable, beautiful and well-stocked. The owner/housekeeper are helpful and it is a beautiful apartment/location, just needs a few things doing and it would be absolutely perfect.

“Great Location for visiting Bath”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2018

The location of the apartment is excellent for visiting the city center of Bath, it was easy walking distance to all attractions, yet it was a peaceful street. The apartment was very clean, however the fridge had a broken shelf so could do with replacing. The additional touches of shower gel, toothbrush etc were an excellent touch if you happened to forget anything. The only other thing I would mention was the shutters on the windows needed some repair in the bedroom, as they would not stay shut so I had to wedge some paper in (I like a really dark room) I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Bath.

“Girls crimbo market break”

Reviewed 27 Nov 2017

The apartment was of a very high standard it was situated in a great place only few minutes walk to town. The owner Sarah was very prompt in responding and helpful. Would highly recommend plenty of room for 4 adults and hope to book again in the near future. Bonus can pay a small fee for parking permit once parked never had to use car again and after a while day shipping nice to return to a comfortable warm apartment.

Response from the owner Thank you for your review.

“Brilliant apartment in the perfect location”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2017

This is the second time my friend and myself have stayed at this apartment and we've already booked again for next year. It is super quiet even being so close to the centre of Bath. The location is perfect being a couple of minutes flat walk away from town, some parts of Bath are a bit steep for us so being on the level is brilliant. The apartment has everything in that we need and having 2 bedrooms mean that my friend and myself have plenty of room. Big thanks as well for leaving the coat I left last year in the wardrobe for me to collect, fantastic service, We can't wait to come back next year!

Response from the owner Thank you for your review.

“Lovely Bank Holiday Retreat”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2017

We spent the August bank holiday in Bath! The apartment is in the best location! Literally 5 minutes from the centre and yet the street is so quiet. The apartment itself is stunning. Modern decor with classic touches like the ceiling rose and wooden shutters. The beds were really comfortable with the finest linen provided. Everything was great. We'll definitely we back again!

Response from the owner Thank you for your review.

“Charming Bath flat”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2016

The flat is in a great location to explore the town of Bath. It had everything we needed - the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and it was beautifully decorated. Sarah always responded promptly to email queries and was lovely to chat to.
