New owners and refurbished July 2018

Marine View is an ideally located cottage, just a stones throw from the old cobbles of Church Street with fantastic views of the harbour and swing bridge. The cottage is accessed off Church Street, steps to the front door leading into a modern kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge.

Leading off the kitchen is the living room and stairs to the first floor. The living room / dining room has views over the harbour, large comfy sofa and chair, TV with freeview, WII with games and a dining table that seats 4 people. Upstairs the double bedroom also has views over the harbour, plenty of storage with a chest of drawers, wardrobe and large dressing table with mirror also with a large flatscreen TV. The bathroom has a bath, wc, sink and large shower cubicle ideal for quick shower or a long soak after a long day exploring the beautiful countryside and beaches Whitby has to offer.

The top floor has a staircase opening into a twin bedroom with a velux window to make the most of the harbour views. Plenty of storage space in this room with a chest of drawers and small dressing table. Also includes a large flat screen TV. The old beamed ceilings give the room a traditional feel.

As the staircase opens into the bedroom, care should be taken with small children. The cottage has wood floors throughout and is open all year for short breaks and longer stays.

Short breaks in peak season at the owners discretion.

Why can't I call Deb (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Deb (the owner) a message.

If Deb (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
