We spent 6 years restoring this ancient farmhouse in the village of Poresinec, Southern Bohemia, set in historic countryside near to the stunning late 13thC town of Cesky Krumlov.

BigSquareHouse is set in rolling countryside, offering a great environment for walking by the river, exploring, cycling, fishing or just relaxing. Just 20 minutes' drive from Cesky Krumlov, with its breathtaking ancient Castle, cobbled streets, painted buildings and UNESCO listing. Also within easy reach of the famous Lake Lipno with its lakes and all year round sports including skiiing. The village is within easy access of both Prague and Linz Airports.

CRAB APPLE TREE LODGE and CHERRY TREE LODGE are 2 adjacent Lodges newly converted from the original cart lodge which form one side of the property. Both are arranged on 2 floors with an open-tread pine staircase leading up from the ground floor.

CRAB APPLE TREE LODGE

is a 2 bed Lodge which can accommodate 4 guests .

On the open plan ground floor a modern fitted kitchen with a full range of appliances, crockery and utensils; dining space with seating for 4; lounge area with Smart TV; downstairs cloakroom with toilet and hand basin.

And a cupboard stack full of games and books for all ages.

The French doors lead on to a terrace into the shared courtyard garden, with outdoor seating. The indoor pool with full width sliding doors is accessed from the courtyard.

Independently controlled radiators keep you warm and comfortable in the winter regardless of how cold it is outside

So fun in the sun or in the snow!

The open tread staircase leads into 2 separate bedrooms..

The main bedroom is furnished with King size bed and sofa reading area.

The 2nd bedroom is furnished with Double bed.

Both are dressed with 400 thread count linen. Each bedroom has its own door leading into the fully fitted shared bathroom with both bath, shower. lavatory and bidet.

NB: there is a cloakroom on ground floor with lavatory and hand basin.

All bed linen and towels are provided and a Welcome pack will greet you on arrival.

Baby equipment pack can be supplied on request for either Lodge so you don't have to bring it all with you,.see website for details.

Since the original photos were taken both Lodges have been decorated with pictures, books, games etc. so looking more beautiful!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Suzy (the owner) a message.

If Suzy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
