From the owner

The Main House in the Domaine du Chatenet complex is an ideal place to accommodate a group or two families. Set in a quiet hamlet near to Riberac, the accommodation and the space mean that it is easy to quickly relax and enjoy your suuroundings. A large garden with lawns and flower beds and a heated pool that catches the sun all day.

As this is our permanent residence it is a home from home with all amenities. You move in we move out but stay on site to provide help,advice and suggestions so that you have a good holiday, without intruding on your privacy.

Attending a wedding? ideal location.

Dogs, Cats, horses ducks chickens and geese make up the menagerie.

The Living accommodation totals 650sqm and has been tastefully restored and decorated throughout. The house is cool in the hot summer and there is plenty of room to just sit and read, we have plenty of books for most tastes.

This is a large property situated in 30 hectares with two lakes, the larger lake one can fish (sport only not kill) or even paddle. We have a large Studio and on offer are painting and ceramic sculpting lessons

Parts of the main dwelling are believed to date back to the 15th Century with later additions in the 18th and 19th centuries.

An extremely important property for the surrounding villages that was used as an impromptu “hospital” for pilgrims on their way to Spain, the local monks developed the lakes to drain land and feed the people with fish.
On the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela, there was a site here dating back to medieval times.

A large patio used for barbecues, and sand school used for exercising and giving riding lessons, but can also be used by children tp play badminton/ football etc.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Colin (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
