From the owner

The chalet is spread over four floors and decorated in beautiful old wood. It is a traditional old Savoyard farmhouse which has been renovated for modern living.

The chalet has six bedrooms. Five of the bedrooms have double or twin beds and each bedroom has a private bathroom. A sixth bedroom has bunk beds and shares a bathroom with one of the other bedrooms along an enclosed hallway. The bunk bedroom has a third child's bed and there are two additional full size beds that can be added to other rooms.

The bedrooms at the front of the chalet open onto a terrace. The bedrooms on the sides open onto patios. One of the bedrooms is up the stairs from the living room in the mezzanine level where there is also a small library, mini office with printer, and a little snug for the kids.

The kitchen has all the amenities one would expect, including a large fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine as well as raclette and fondue. The kitchen is open plan onto the living room where there is a large 12-seater table, a wood fire, sofas and chairs, a cocktail bar and a terrace with views of Châtel and the mountains. There is also a TV room, sauna, shower and another bathroom on this floor. A Sonos sound system is installed throughout the chalet.

Outside there are gardens on both sides of the chalet. There is a picnic table on the east side which enjoys the morning and lunchtime sunshine. On the west side the garden includes a hot tub, a garden dining table seating 8-10 and a gas barbecue. Younger children will enjoy playing the the little mazot, a replica alpine chalet playhouse.

There is parking for at least four cars.

Summer: Enjoy a self-catered break in the beautiful alpine pastures of the Val d'Abondance. The chalet will be warm and ready for your arrival with provisioning to your requirements. Towels and linens will be provided. You will be met on arrival or can arrange to collect keys at the chalet. Winter: In winter the chalet is operated as a fully catered luxury ski chalet. You will be welcomed to the chalet in winter by the Chalet Manager who will look after you throughout your stay. Breakfast, afternoon tea & cake, canapés before dinner and a four course dinner itself are all provided by our professional chef.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Clare (the owner) a message.

If Clare (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
