This hugely popular and stylish family house in the centre of the attractive harbour side village of West Itchenor in West Sussex has attracted over 30 five star reviews from its previous guests many of whom return year after year.

The house is surrounded by a large, secluded and well stocked garden with a pretty south facing terrace overlooking a 32 ft x 16 ft private heated swimming pool which is available during the summer months of June, July and August with the cost of heating etc included in the rental and can be made available by arrangement on bookings of 1 week or more on payment of a supplement of £60/day for May and September and £80/day for April and October (minimum 1 week notice prior to stay please). Adjacent to the terrace, with its comfortable rattan sofa set and four sun loungers, is an attractive vine and wisteria covered pergola providing a Mediterranean style outside dining area complete with teak table and chairs and barbecue for al fresco dining.

Upstairs the house provides four large bedrooms comprising two double bedrooms (bedrooms 1 and 2) and two twin bedrooms (bedrooms 3 and 4) and four bathrooms. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 each have their own en suite facilities and bedroom 4 has exclusive use of bathroom 4. Bedroom 1 has a super king double bed, bedroom 2 has a king size double bed and bedrooms 3 and 4 each have twin single beds with bedroom 3's beds being capable of conversion to a super king double bed.

Downstairs the accommodation comprises a hall (30ft x 12 ft) a fully equipped family kitchen/dining room (15 ft x 24 ft), large living room (22ft x 13 ft), second living room with log fire (16 ft x 13 ft), two WCs (one with shower) and a utility room.

Within 200 yards of the house is The Ship, our local pub, a public jetty with boats offering harbour tours and a ferry to Bosham Hoe in the season, a public hard for boat launching and the start of some of the most scenic harbourside walking in England. And just three miles away is the popular West Wittering beach. There are many beautiful country walks and cycle rides nearby and the historic City of Chichester is approximately 7 miles away with its famous theatre and cathedral. Just north of Chichester lie the South Downs and Goodwood with its race course, golf and various cultural festivals. Several golf clubs including those at Goodwood and Hunston are in the close vicinity.

Bookings during the high season are for 7 days and out of season shorter breaks are available.

One small fully house trained dog weighing less than 20 lbs (approx 9 kg) permitted. Please keep you dog i) downstairs, ii) off the furniture and iii) well brushed and clean at all times.
Street House is our home - not a commercial Holiday Rental property. We respectfully request that guests treat it with the same care as they do their own home.
Check in and check out other than in high season can be on any day other than Saturday. In high season lettings are Friday to Friday.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Janet and Mike (the owner) a message.

If Janet and Mike (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
