Please let us know if you would like to bring pets. Very few high quality houses on Chincoteague accept pets, and we pride ourselves in making sure the house is cleaned thoroughly for each guest.

Sleeps 8 in beds, 10 using sleep sofa in living room; 5 Baths, Gazebo, Observation Deck, Wi-Fi, and more. Epiphany has a "reverse floor plan", with FOUR bedrooms ( all with en-suite baths: 2 with King beds, 2 with two twins each) on the first floor, and a "Great Room" on the 2nd floor.

Upstairs, you enter into an airy "great room" with a modern kitchen at one end, a spacious living area at the other and a dining area in the middle. Views: 27 feet of ceiling height windows and sliding glass doors make you think you are always out doors. The doors open onto an observation deck with panoramic views, and a breezy gazebo for dining in the shade.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with everything the gourmet cook could possibly want to prepare a meal. There is plenty of space for multiple chefs to work; and, across the island, several stools for those who just want to sip a drink and watch. Just steps away is the dining table, or two steps the other direction is the table on the covered gazebo for dining al fresco. The gas grill is on the balcony, also steps away. The living room end of the great room features a large modern flat screen TV with Cable TV, and a quality sound system. There are books and games. A sleep sofa, full size sofa and a love seat are all recent replacements. A few other chairs, too. Even on warm days, turn the A/C off, open the windows and enjoy the cross breezes and the views.

Outside: A canoe and two double kayaks are kept on a floating dock for shared use with the adjoining house (Eureka!). Epiphany has its own deep water dock (with 16 foot T head) on Deep Hole Creek. Catch crabs, launch small boats, use ours, tie up your own boat, and swim (strong swimmers only-be careful about the current!) from the floating dock. Enjoy the spectacular sunrises over Assateague. The two bedrooms facing the water have KING beds and private balconies. Two bedrooms facing the street have two TWIN beds EACH. All four bedrooms each have their own full bath.

Recent updates brought fresh paint throughout the house, new & refinished floors, a new refrigerator, induction range, washer & dryer, dishwasher, an updated outdoor shower, new furniture in the living room and landscaping enhancements, including a ground level outdoor deck under the gazebo with a hammock and two chaise lounges.

Groups rent Epiphany with the adjoining Eureka! and Morning Song. By using all three houses, you can have 33+ people for a destination wedding, or a family reunion.

Our cleaning crew's goal is to have the house immaculate when you arrive. Based on our reviews we are meeting that goal! We are pet friendly (with a fee). Our cleaning crew knows to make an extra effort following guests who bring pets, and will gladly return if you are not satisfied. So far, no one has asked them to come back. We ask each guest what else we could do to make the house "more perfect". Guests one May asked for a hammock, so by mid June we had installed the ground level deck under the gazebo, and the hammock was in place, along with two outdoor chaise lounges. It's wonderful!

Epiphany is one of 3 Wonderful Homes on Deep Hole Creek in Chincoteague. All designed by famous Chincoteague designer Richard Vesely. We were closely involved with the design and construction of the house. We continue to be meticulous in upkeep and repairs with a philosophy of CANI (Continuous and Never ending Improvement). Houses on Chincoteague exposed to the elements require even more constant upkeep. We do that, and more. We put a lot of ourselves into the house; and we are thrilled when our guests report having such a great time. -Blair & Martha..

Hi Blair,We want to let you know how absolutely wonderful your house (Eureka!) is for a wedding celebration. We could not have been happier with the festivities. As it turned out, the view beyond the wedding party was delightful. The weather was very pleasant for the ceremony – very windy and not awfully hot. We were so happy that we did not see a single mosquito until Saturday night when packing up the cars. (We would have had a lesser opinion of proceedings if the bugs had been that bad during the ceremony and reception!) You might have noticed the centerpieces we had…they were filled with beach toys and Chincoteague-related items such as fly swatters and back scratchers. Everyone on Chincoteague was so helpful.

Martha and I are personally involved in managing all aspects of our vacation rental house. We will want to have a telephone conversation with you to make sure the house is appropriate for you. We take great pride in our houses, and want you to let us know immediately if you should have any problem. We will email you the key code during the week before your arrival, as well as directions to house and directions about trash removal. Please call us if you have any problem at all. Linens are provided: They are placed on each bed before arrival; you will need to make the beds, and then on your departure day strip the beds and place the laundry in the bags provided. The trash center is on Deep Hole Rd on the way to anywhere else on the island. We ask guests to take garbage bags on a daily basis to the trash center. Failure to remove trash and to bag all linens will result in an addit'l charge.

Our family rented both houses (Epiphany & Eureka) Both houses are so spacious and beautiful. Each bedroom has a bathroom. The upstairs was very spacious. Great place to stay.

How do damage deposits work?

If Blair (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
