If your desired dates at Oaks Lodge aren't available due to high demand, please do take a look at Larches Lodge which is also on-site. For stays of more than 2 night please contact the owner for best deals.

Come and unwind at our woodland lodge, uniquely situated just a short stroll from the centre of the picturesque town of Church Stretton in the Shropshire Hills AONB and blogged by TripAdvisor as "one of the most luxurious cabins on the planet"! Oaks Lodge is popular for a mini-moon or anyone seeking a relaxing short break. For late deals please find Oaks Lodge on TripAdvisor and click 'Call Owner' to reveal mobile number to call/text. One night stays available if there is a one night gap in the calendar.

Your luxury lodge is nestled in a 1/3 acre woodland dingle in the owners garden beneath a canopy of oak trees. Unwind in the hot tub, surrounded by the natural beauty of mature oaks and the lodge's modern western red cedar cladding, whilst listening to the soothing background trickle of the stream as it meanders beneath you. Sit back and relax with an evening drink on the composite decking, warmed by the Burda electric heater, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and squirrels chasing each other around the branches of the oak trees.

Oaks Lodge is accessed from a dedicated parking area by a gravel path (approximately 80m long) located along the lower level of the owners' secluded, tiered garden. As you walk along the pathway through carefully chosen shrubs and planted slopes and pass through a gateway of two magnificent oak trees, you gain your first glimpse of the lodge; the elevated balcony and front windows with the stream below flowing gently from the waterfall behind (except during periods of low rainfall!).

It's a truly unique, magical and private space and yet only a short walk into Church Stretton town offering a variety of independent specialist shops and a good selection of eateries and pubs/bars. After a day's activities you can retreat into your personal haven and relax.

Oaks Lodge has been designed with luxury and relaxation in mind, yet is offered with a realistic price tag. We want you to enjoy your stay with us, whether you are planning a romantic getaway or mini-moon, an activity break or simply some relaxing time to yourselves. From your elevated private balcony and hot tub, you can enjoy wonderful views, through the trees, of the Long Mynd and areas of the town. It's hard to believe that Oaks Lodge is only five minutes' walk away from the train station and a few minutes more into the centre of Church Stretton. It's this mix of seclusion yet close proximity to local amenities that really sets Oaks Lodge apart.

We believe the little things make the biggest memories. Inside, we have striven to provide everything you might expect from a luxurious getaway: underfloor heating, a cosy flame-effect fire, a fully-equipped kitchen, powerful rain shower, super king bed and outdoor hot tub are just some of the touches that we believe will make your stay extra special.

As we are a small, family run enterprise, we are always on hand to give you advice, if wanted and help, when needed. Our goal is to ensure that you have an unforgettable time at Oaks Lodge.

We partner with GloPamper where you can book spa treatments to be taken at Oaks Lodge to make your stay even more special so please take a look.

You'll find many things to do in and around the Church Stretton area without needing the car. For those exploring further afield, the train station is a five minute walk away. Train journeys to Shrewsbury and Ludlow take a little over 10 minutes offering sights, retail therapy and food experiences.

Oaks Lodge is set in Sara and Mark's one acre garden shared with their three children and Burmese cats. They also run Larches Lodge which is set amongst the larch trees within the garden. Both our lodges are sumptuously equipped for a truly memorable stay.

Strictly no pets. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate children (please contact for babes in arms). Strictly 2 persons maximum, visitors only by prior arrangement.

In consideration of neighbours there should be no outdoor music at any time and we kindly request that all outside noise is curtailed at the latest by 9pm Sun-Thurs and by 10pm Fri/Sat.

Please Note: There is quite a steep drive up to the property which can be a little strenuous for less energetic guests however, from the parking area there is a level 80m gravel path to Oaks (note the first 40m is shared with the access to Larches). The owners are happy to help if assistance is needed carrying luggage.

* Xmas/New Year weeks and public holiday weekends are charged more than our standard pricing.
