The Modern Barn at Bois Blanc is like a dream! Imagine the perfect city pad, waking to a huge picture window view out on the world but instead of city lights you look across vines and sunflowers. At night, you still get twinkling lights, but here they are in the avenue of trees leading away from your private terrace, and of course, from the starry sky where you can usually see the milky way and a few shooting stars if you are lucky!

Originally built in 1836, Bois Blanc was a cognac producer's house and is set, away from busy roads, in the Grand Champagne region of the Cognac vineyards. It is owned by an English couple who are renovating the main house, whilst providing holiday accommodation in the Cottage and Barn conversion. There are no immediate neighbours and the landscaping is carefully arranged to provide privacy between the cottage and the barn. Neither is overlooked by the owners who live in the main house. The large 12 x 6m L shaped pool has ample space to practice lengths while the shallow stepped area allows you to sit and dip your feet in the water while reading a book ... without being splashed! There are two double and two single sun-beds. The pool is shared between The Cottage and The Barn and is open from the 1st of June (or earlier when weather permits!). Why can't I call Mandie (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mandie (the owner) a message.

If Mandie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
