Description

A rural collection of quaint buildings with a combination of 7 bedrooms

Lemon Grove Farmhouse and Cottages are possibly the oldest buildings in this lovely hamlet of Llano Almendra (pronounced Yano), they are over 200 years old and have character flowing through them.

The main farmhouse can comfortably sleep 7 via 3 charming bedrooms and all guests will be looking to make a stake in the master bedroom first for it's size, tranquility and own private terrace.

There is also a wonderful added bonus of a small lounge area just off the metal spiral stairs that lead to the bedroom, which is great for relaxing before bed, but also doubles as an ideal extra child's bedroom as it has a sofa bed that can sleep 2.

So this flexibility can be handy for families that want the smaller children to be close by.

On the ground floor is a lovely bunk bed room which also has a third bed, a fantastic and fun environment for children to be on their own and next to it a sweet lounge

On the ground floor is a lovely bunk bed room which also has a third bed, a fantastic and fun environment for children to be on their own and next to it a sweet lounge again great for keeping the children happy with a little TV time.

Up a few steps is another double bedroom.

The stylish and well equipped kitchen is designed for the chefs of the groups to still be involved in a group environment as although all 3 properties have kitchen facilities, the Farmhouse has the better set up and the lovely covered terrace is just outside it's door and families and groups will migrate to that area once the dinner bell is rung !!

There is a facility for the majority of guests to be able to sit inside and dine, but the set up is designed for independent living and alfresco dining and why would you not in an area of Spain that is known for it's 300 days of blue sky days and stunning evenings plus the added ingredient of tranquillity which this hamlet has.

The larger cottage next door has a lounge area and kitchenette and shower room and upstairs are 3 bedrooms, of which one is a double, another a single and the third a twin with the facility to pull out another single bed.

The smaller cottage is great for elderly guests as it is fully self contained and has an open plan lounge with a double bed and also a kitchenette and shower room all on one floor.

Please note we as we have numerous lovely villas on Holiday Lettings we do not always keep calender's updated so we can offer alternatives.

Location description from owner

The Costa del Sol region

Comares is a beautiful Andalucian whitewashed village (pueblo blanco) perched high in the mountains of Malaga Province, Spain. Comares is actually one of the highest altitude pueblo blancos in the whole of Spain, with spectacular views for many miles in every direction from its position on a mountain top. The village is stunningly beautiful, and to date, is still far from the beaten paths of tourists, allowing it to retain its peaceful, undeniably Andalucian atmosphere which makes Comares villas such a complete delight to visit.
Things to do on holiday in Comares, Spain

Walking through the cobbled streets of the village is a delight. Not only is there a timeless, peaceful atmosphere throughout, but you can take a sub-conscious history lesson as you walk. The coloured ceramic tiles which decorate the village tell the story of Comares' place in Spanish history since the 3rd century BC. The remaining ruins of the huge Moors fortress of Comares tells a little of the story itself, but there is little remaining.

There are a handful of fantastic bars in Comares, a couple of exceptional restaurants and many doorstep stalls selling local wine, raisins, almonds, olives, honey and cheese. The local produce is mouth watering, and the little doorstep shops make cooking in a self catering Comares villa or apartment an absolute delight. During the St Hilaire de Poitiers festival from the 25th – 27th August each year, Comares springs into life, transforming form a sleepy, sun-drenched village to become a haven of activity, music, dance and food.

Comares lies just outside the Malaga Mountains Nature Park, a wonderful area of mountains, river valleys and thick forests awash with wildlife. The park is a fantastic place to walk and climb, surrounded by some of the finest views to be found across Andalucia, and in amongst the indigenous wildlife of the region.

Comares tends to one of those villages you never forget and once you have visited it you often come back.

Places to visit on holiday in Comares, Spain

Comares is located 25km inland from the beaches of Torre del Mar, and just 35km from Malaga. These are very popular beach resorts, offering stunning expanses of soft sand, endless water sports facilities, evening entertainment and excellent restaurants, as well as a surprising number of important historical monuments, especially in the old city of Malaga. If the peace, tranquillity and beauty of taking a holiday home in Comares get too much, the fast pace of beach life is only a short drive away.
Weather in Comares, Spain

The weather is very reliable in this part of Spain. You can almost guarantee a week of stunning sunshine and midday temperatures in the high 30's (°C) during June, July and August, and you would be very unlucky to get a week of bad weather at any time between April and October. Even in winter, monthly temperatures average almost 15?C, meaning that there is never a bad time to be relaxing in a Comares holiday rental villa.

Comares is very well located to simply for exploring countryside, cities and of course the coast.
