The nearest shops are 7.5 km in both directions to Competa or Torrox Pueblo. There you can drink on the Piazza and some tapas after the shopping is done. For larger supermarkets you have only to Torrox Pueblo past to Torrox Costa to the coast, where there are a variety of shops of all sizes, many bars and local and international restaurants. Head east along the coast road is the pretty tourist town of Nerja with all its attractions, a must on the Balcon de Europa to sit, have a coffee, or a Tinto de Verano or eat beer and tapas and watch only the people!
