Luxury and tranquillity in the heart of glorious English countryside, a newly converted barn on working rare breed farm. The Chalk Barn is a fully self-contained cottage to suit 4, 6 or 8 guests - with 2 superking ensuite rooms (and a further two superking ensuite rooms across the yard), fibre-to-premises WiFi. BBQ terrace, great for walking and cycling, close to Avebury, ideal for days out to Stonehenge, Bath, Salisbury, Swindon Outlet. 5 mins walk to award winning village pub. Perfect for groups of friends or family. Contact owner for pricing for 2 or 3 bedroom option.

Launched in May 2016, these newly converted buildings are simply stunning, with many original features but all the convenience of new - vaulted ceilings and beams meet underfloor heating and gorgeous bathrooms! Every bedroom is ensuite, has a table and chairs for working or a private breakfast, sofa and large flatscreen TV, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Cowshed toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, a large fully equipped kitchen diner, cosy lounge. Plenty of parking, EV Charging available on request.

The terrace has a Weber BBQ and table and 8 chairs for outdoor dining.

We have two futons available if some in your group wish to share a room but not a bed.

As a newly refurbished property in the midst of the English countryside, we take all possible efforts to preserve the tranquility of our surroundings for the benefit of all (people and animals alike!). Therefore, we unfortunately cannot accept bookings for stag or hen parties, or groups including children under 8 or dogs.
Whilst smoking is not permitted in the buildings, there are several outdoor seating areas where ashtrays are provided for your convenience.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sara (the owner) a message.

If Sara (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
