We'd love to welcome you for a relaxing, away from it all holiday at Domaine de Favette. Please contact us if you would like to know what previous guests thought of the house and surroundings!

This secluded traditional farmhouse with its 10x5m private pool is nestled between vineyards and the river Aude. Relax on the sun-drenched south facing terraces with a locally produced chilled rose wine, enjoy a splash in the pool, pick fresh figs from our trees, and end the day with a barbecue on the tiled terraces or make the short journey to a selection of fabulous restaurants in Narbonne. For the more adventurous, you can fish in the river, or venture further afield to explore the many sites of the Languedoc, such as Carcassonne and the Cathar Castles, while away a day by the Canal du Midi, visit the many wine producing chateaux to seek out your favourite wine, or visiting the Mediterranean beaches.

Domaine de Favette is a spacious, restored 19th century farmhouse set in its own 4000m² grounds, combining many original features with every convenience to ensure your stay is really comfortable.

Most rooms have original oak beams, and tiled floors. All rooms have wooden shutters which can be left ajar during the day to keep the rooms cool in even the hottest weather. Three double bedrooms (two with ensuite shower rooms) and two twin bedrooms, family bathroom, and a wet room downstairs. Large, comfortably furnished open plan living room with original beams, tiled floor and wood burning stove. The fully equipped kitchen includes a range cooker, dishwasher and microwave, with washing machine, freezer and extra fridge in a separate utility room. The house is 2.5km north of Coursan, giving you peace and quiet, and within a short drive or bike ride of all local facilities.

A booking deposit of 25% is required to confirm a reservation, balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. A damages/cleaning deposit of £350 is also required.

We have just come back from a wonderful couple of weeks at La Favette. With 8 adults and 2 children, we found that there was plenty of room to accommodate us all (both inside and out). The house was extremely well-equipped with more kitchen utensils that you could ever need and the children loved all of the pool toys that had been left (the adults did too)!! The pool was brilliant with lots of space for sunbathing. It was also great for the children (aged 3 and 5) as there were large steps at one end of the pool for them to stand whilst partially submerged. Sitting eating and drinking watching the sun set over the vines will be a very fond memory for years to come. There is not a great deal to see and do in Coursan although the location does allow easy access to the beaches, in and around Narbonne, all of which we found to be excellent. I would definitely recommend La Favette to others. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Well equipped newly refurbished kitchen with granite worktops, including range cooker, dishwasher and microwave, with washing machine, freezer and extra fridge in a separate utility room. Three double bedrooms (2 with ensuite shower rooms) and two twin bedrooms, family bathroom, and a wet room downstairs.

Extensive south facing terraces, with a 10x5m private pool with further terraces. Includes range of outdoor loungers and chairs. Extra fridge in pool house for cold drinks by the pool, and music on the pool terrace. The pool terraces can be floodlit at night.

The large barbecue is ideal for al fresco dining.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Philip (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
