A fantastic property, Harbour House, 20 Shoregate, Crail is set high on a stunning spot in Crail with uninterrupted views to the sea and Isle of May.

Harbour House can also be rented with our adjoining property, Harbour Cottage, for larger groups.

Located only 15 mins drive from St Andrews and an hour from Edinburgh, Crail makes a great base for a holiday in Fife and despite its proximity to the central belt of Scotland it couldn't feel further away from life's stresses and strains. And don't take our word for it - Skyscanner recently named Crail with a Top 10 position in their Most Beautiful Village in the UK Award !

Also on our door step are some of the world's oldest and top rated golf courses including Crail Golfing Society, Kingbarns and The Old Course at St Andrews. Harbour House has plenty of space for 8 people to stay in style and comfort. The adjacent Harbour Cottage sleeps 2. From all windows there are amazing views to be had both out to sea and over rooftops down to the harbour. It is a unique spot indeed.

Contemporary ensuite and decadent Victorian bathroom with roll top bath and shower. Underfloor heating in both ensuite and bathroom.

Delightful and enclosed garden with patio and barbecue - views down to harbour and out to sea. Outdoor furniture allows dining for 6-8.

House rules

During high season summer months we operate on a Saturday to Saturday basis. Out with this, our minimum stay is three nights but we are flexible in terms of arrival and departure dates. Entry is usually at 3pm and departure by 10am.

Harbour House accommodates a maximum of 8 adults. It is non smoking. Signs of smoking will incur an additional cleaning fee of £100.

All our prices are fully inclusive with no hidden extras.

Why can't I call Lynne (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lynne (the owner) a message.

If Lynne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
