A fantastic property set high on a stunning spot in Crail with uninterrupted views to the sea and Isle of May. Harbour Cottage can be rented together with the adjoining Harbour House for larger groups.

Located only 15 mins drive from St Andrews and an hour from Edinburgh, Crail makes a great base for a holiday in Fife and despite its proximity to the central belt of Scotland it couldn't feel further away from life's stresses and strains. And don't take our word for it - Skyscanner recently named Crail with a Top 10 position in their Most Beautiful Village in the UK Award !!

Also on our door step are some of the world's oldest and top rated golf courses including Crail Golfing Society, Kingbarns and The Old Course at St Andrews. Harbour House has plenty of space for up to 8 people to stay in style and comfort. The adjacent Harbour Cottage sleeps 2.

From all windows there are amazing views to be had both out to sea and over rooftops down to the harbour. It is a unique spot indeed.

We've gone for a boutique hotel style in the Cottage - luxury fittings throughout with a cosy contemporary feel. Perfect for romantic weekends or weeks away.

At ground floor level there is a cosy double bedroom dressed with Orla Kiely linens and fabrics. There's a small built in wardrobe and an LCD TV for lazy evenings / mornings.

There's a fabulous contemporary wet room clad with Fired Earth tiles and housing Axor Grohe power raindance shower and other designer fittings. Underfloor heating and radiator make it nice and cosy.

The Victorian spiral staircase takes you up to the living room and contemporary luxury kitchen at first floor level.

In the living room, there is a two seater sofa from which to enjoy the bose cinema surround system and 42 plasma TV, an arm chair from which to enjoy the stunning views and a diner seating four also with uninterrupted views out to sea.

House rules

During high season summer months we operate on a Saturday to Saturday basis. Outwith this, our minimum stay is three nights. Entry is usually at 3pm and departure by 10am.

Harbour Cottage accommodates 2 adults when rented separately and a maximum of 3 when rented together with Harbour House.
It is a non smoking property. Signs of smoking will incur an additional cleaning fee of £100.

All our prices are fully inclusive with no hidden extras. Gas and electricity are included.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
