Ramblers Rest is perfect for a break in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Grade II listed, this self catering cottage nestles in the oldest street in Crickhowell, and is only 2 minutes walk from the River Usk, famous for its excellent fishing and wildlife.

WE HAVE THE "GOOD TO GO" cleanliness accreditation for 2021.

The cottage is centrally heated and offers well appointed accommodation, but retains the charm and peaceful atmosphere of its mid-1800s origin.

The cottage sleeps up to four adults, and is well appointed throughout, having been accredited Four Stars by the Welsh Tourist Board.

The accommodation comprises:

Ground floor

Sitting Room with television/DVD and CD player, comfortable sofa and chairs
Fully equipped Kitchen with cooker, microwave oven, washing machine, dining table and chairs.
Walk-in pantry with fridge/freezer and plenty of storage space.
Bathroom; with WC and bath with shower over

First floor
Bedroom 1 double bedded room
Bedroom 2 twin bedded room (3ft beds)

There is a pretty and secluded garden with views of the Llangattock escarpment. The garden is totally enclosed and very safe for children, and is equipped with garden furniture and B B Q. We have provided a selection of maps and local guide books for visitors to use.

Ramblers Rest cottage is looked after and maintained by the owners, to ensure you have everything you need for a perfect break. There is parking just outside the property or a few yards away.

The cottage is only available as NO smoking accommodation. Also, due to the nature of the property and its quiet residential setting, we regret that the cottage is not suitable for stag or hen parties.

The cottage is equipped with smoke alarms on both levels, and CO detector/alarm in the kitchen

Crickhowell High Street is one of the few shopping streets left in the country, with local businesses selling 'local' produce and products - there are no empty shops! Crickhowell is the overall winner in the Best British High Street Awards 2018!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Christina (the owner) a message.

If Christina (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
