Putsborough is a beautifully unspoilt hamlet of listed buildings in an area of outstanding natural beauty surrounded by National Trust land with breathtaking views and numerous walks . The popular surfing meccas of Croyde and Saunton Sands are a few minutes drive away, there is a green lane to Croyde approx 3/4 mile. Woolacombe is also close by, either a short drive or a leisurely walk along the beach.
Locally facilities include excellent golf courses, horse riding, boat fishing hire, clay pidgeon shooting, Lundy Island ferry trips from Ilfracombe, adventure and children's parks nearby, and National Trust Properties to visit to name but a few! The beautiful and dramatic landscape of Exmoor is also close by. The coast line is rich in beautiful towns and villages to visit.

The cottage is located in the beautiful, secure walled garden, originally the kitchen garden of the Manor House. The garden is well established (approximately an acre) and is a pleasure to behold, there are many specimen plants and trees, an amazing apple arbour, a herb garden and lots of little paths meandering . On a sunny day you can enjoy a barbeque, relax in the garden and watch the sun go down towards the beach. The cottage has a sunken patio directly off the lounge with table and chairs, an outdoor shower (for after the beach or hosing the dog), an outdoor storage area for boards or bikes, a few steps lead to a sun terrace with sun loungers, gas bbq, and table, and a gateway to the rest of the walled garden.
