Charming, private, small, well maintained, colonial-style guest house, with patio/garden built in 1996. High walls all the way around the property give you security and privacy; great south facing sunny location for enjoying the outdoors in the walled patio and casita balcony.

FANTASTIC LOCATION, about 3 miles north of the zocalo, great neighborhood, walk to a big new supermarket, restaurants and shops; Excellent language school Spanish Institute, SLI, highly recommended and across the street from this property. Check out their website for class availability.

The house has appealing stone work, wooden doors and vigas, wrought iron rejas (security bars) and balconies; a pleasant garden patio with furniture and umbrella. Ceiling fans upstairs and downstairs; custom handmade furniture throughout. Wireless Internet and a TV, ,ipod/iPhone DOCK/FM RADIO, iPhone 5 and above needs pin adapter to play from phone. Clock radio upstairs. Portable large Radio plays CD's; TV and there is a DVD player.

Completely walled, secure and private. Fully furnished, one double bed upstairs. Sofa double bed downstairs. The ground floor of the house includes the kitchen, dining room table, (seats four), and a sofa. There is a stove, refrigerator with freezer, cooking utensils, table service, cleaning supplies, and trash bags.

Upstairs has a fully tiled tub bath and shower, new toilet, and a bedroom with a double bed, chest of drawers, and ropero for hanging clothes. There is a balcony with a small table (seats two) off the bedroom with a view of the mountains in the distance. Upstairs feels like being in a tree house with many trees in view. Light and airy, with all tile floors, the kitchen and bath are completely tiled. There is a large cistern so there is always plenty of water. Use bottled water which is provided for drinking. This is a self-catering rental so maid service can be arranged with the manager for about $30 per visit. Cleaning supplies are provided in the house.

Fixed cellular telephone uses Movistar system, top up at Supermarket nearby; Wireless Internet, TV. FM Radio/IPOD dock, DVD for videos. Plenty of sheets and towels; owner has washer dyer on the premises or use service laundry nearby at about $4-6 per load folded depending on size and composition of load.

Close to public transport; walk downhill to the center of town; huge supermarket close-by. An upscale shopping plaza is also nearby with banks, ATM's, beauty shop, dry cleaners, money exchange, pharmacy, cafes, computer supplies, travel agency, Subway, and sidewalk cafes. Get a Discover card and no foreign fees at Superama supermarket and other businesses that accept it. Schwab accounts also have no foreign transaction fees.

Cuernavaca, the city of eternal spring, about 5,500 feet in altitude, has a wonderful climate. This is the perfect house for a couple or a single, especially for an extended stay for the person who wants to study Spanish or escape the cold winter months or the heat of summer. This house is most comfortable for two adults or a single!

The house makes a convenient home base for sightseeing in Mexico City, Puebla, Taxco, and the states of Guerrero and Mexico. Acapulco is only three hours away by car or bus. Buses run from the Mexico City Airport to Cuernavaca about every half hour and cost about 203 pesos which is about $19 on Pullman de Morelos non-stop from the airport to La Selva terminal north of the city center, closer than the main bus terminal downtown.Take authorized taxi to the house buying a ticket for about 35 pesos from the kiosk in the bus station.

How do damage deposits work?

If CAROL (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
